New, And in desperate need of help.

Hi, First a quick Introduction. I learned about lucid dreaming a few moths ago, but never made any serious attempts at it. Just recently I have become more serious, (Dream journal RCing alot)

BUT-I have one huge problem. Dream clarity and recall. Both are terrible. I can only remember fragments in very general detail. Sometimes details will only surface a few days after the dream happened. If somebody could please help me with improving the clarity of my dreams, it would be greatly appreciated. THANK YOU!

For recall I suggest that when you wake up, right away, write short words or phrases that will let you remember your dreams on a small notepad or something. Also, if you remember part of a dream, expand upon it by asking yourself things like "What did I do before that?" or "How did I get there?" or "What did I do next?"

      Anyway,

Welcome to Dreamviews! Along with what Dark said, you can also try waking up periodically throughout the night and writing your dreams down. It is much harder to remember everything if you are just trying to remember it all in the morning.

Thanks, Both of you. I've got a notepad by my bed, and hopefully it will help.

Get more sleep. Most of the time recall is a semi-conscious decision between recall and going back to sleep. And sleep is the more seductive of the two.

That's pretty impressive actually. I don't know many people that can do that. For most people, if they can't recall it in the morning, they don't recall it ever, except for the occasional random flash during the day.

You need to give yourself a little more credit.

Firstly, thanks to everybody who helped me, especially The Cusp, I can't believe I never realised that obvious problem. Thanks. I don't know if anybody will see this, But I have a new question. About sleep paralysis. Just wondering if this could be it.

After relaxing for a bit I feel strange, and my ears start to ring. This can last for a while. Sometimes The ringing in my ears will intensify to almost unbearable "volume" And it will feel like I am being pulled forwards, And I have a strong desire to follow. Sometimes I will feel a rythmic up and down movement, or else the feelings will reverse and disappear. If anybody could tell me what, If anything this is....
