      I'm New Here. Hi Everyone!

      Hi!
First of all, my name's Christine. I'm 18 years old, and I'm new to lucid dreaming. I just began researching it about a week ago, and I've been trying to have one but haven't suceeded yet.
I've always been interested in dreams, and as far as I can remember I've had very vivid ones. Also, I've experienced sleep paralysis a few times a month since I was very young. I've only had the hallucinations once, and sleep paralysis no longer scares me at all, I find to be very relaxing and I hope that I can use it to help me begin lucid dreaming.
All in all, I'm very excited to read more on anything involving dreams, and I am greatly looking forward to hopefully someday experiencing lucid dreams for myself.
      Christine

      Welcome to DV, Christine!

It's great that you aren't afraid of SP. When I had my first experiences with it, I was terrified because I didn't know what it was, but when I started to have lucid dreams from it, I was happy to get it.

Have you read about WILDs? If you have SP naturally, you can use it to induce a lucid dream with a little practice. WILDs are usually very vivid and an amazing experience! I suggest Jeff's tutorial:

You already have vivid dreams, so that's definitely a great first step. I have a feeling you won't have any problems having lucid dreams before too long. We have a section here for dream journals if you'd like to start keeping one here.

I also have a guide that is sort of an overview of everything lucid dream related, if you want to check it out:

I'll go ahead and strongly suggest you keep a dream journal. If anything, it keeps dreaming on your mind and allows more opportunities for lucidity. Like Mario and Naiya said, it sounds like you won't have problems with lucid dreaming. I myself also experience SP often before I began LDing and now that alows me to WILD often. Good Luck in your future efforts!

I just started keeping a dream journal a few days ago, and I'm glad I did because since I started looking into all of this, I've had even crazier dreams than normal.
I have read about WILDs, and I might attempt it next time I get SP.
      Thank you all
