What the hell did I see?!

Hello there.

Last night when I got up at 1:30AM, I looked out my window for about like one minute. During that minute I saw something that scared the shit out of me, and there is no way that it was HI.

I do not believe in UFO's but there was this object that was very bright (it lit up my windowsill a little bit) it came in an arc to the ground VERY FAST. I think it might of been part of a meteor shower?

After looking up current meteor showers for San Diego (Where I live), I found nothing.

Lol no, I was just trying to represent the path the object went along. It was white light.

Coulda been a flare, it's near the 4th, people shoot things like that off for fun.

It could still be a meteor, there doesn't have to be a meteor shower for them to hit the Earth.

How bright was it exactly? Meteors hit Earth all the time. If it got brighter than say, the Moon, chances are it was a decent sized one that might get some news coverage, also there probably weren't too many people up at 1:30 am.

Hmm... lemme think. It was bright enough to light up the boarder on my windowsill, it didn't cause me to see orange (I forgot what that is called

I would say it was brighter than the moon, but smaller. From my perspective the "flare" big as a quarter, which is like 50 times brighter than the stars in the sky. that is why it scared the shit out of me. I had trouble WILDing after that... lol

I believe, however odd it is to society, that there are other beings out there somewhere. There have been sightings after sightings after sightings which have no logic to them except for the fact that they were UFO's. As for the reporting part, agencies and the military keep these sightings under tough survelience. They are never talked about, but yet our money is going into the 'discussions' that occur between the military and the government.

I am not saying that I don't believe in other life. I do, I just don't think that they have come to us. Lucid Dreaming has helped me prove that to myself.

meteroids don't all come in the famour showers, they hit all the time, that's probablh what you saw.

That is what I am hoping. It scared the shit out of me and I couldn't WILD. I will try to sleep with the window tightly sealed even though its like 100 degrees where I am right now... lol

My first thought was maybe a helicopter. A police helicopter and what you saw was the spotlight, perhaps from a good distance off. It could seem to move very fast, because just the spotlight could of turned in another direction. Or it was far enough away, that it just appeared to be going faster than it was.

Was it going a constant speed, or did it's speed change (Don't know if you mentioned this)

My guess would be a satallite... but they're small and hard to see if you're in a large suburban place

@Alric: Spotlights that are in the shape of white balls of light that arc into the ground?

@Armistice: It was (I think) a constant speed. However, I think if a satellite crashed here it would be on local news. xD I also never heard a bang or noise when the object would of hit the ground.

I think that supports the meteoroid idea, because it could of burned up before it hit the ground.
