Not exactly a scientific term but what I had in mind might be...

Loneliness, depression and/or a strong discontent with life circumstances.

There's no getting away that life can be mundane. Such is society set up (I certainly don't want to get up every morning and do stuff other people tell me to do). The ultimate question is: are you happy? Aristotle isn't the only one who believes this the secular life's ultimate goal. In my opinion, If you are happy with yourself and life in general then "expanding horizons" because others think you need to is just as likely to invite unhappiness as further augment happiness. If someone is truly happy then they need not care whether or not their appearances align with societal expectations (always having a boy/girlfriend, having an excellent job with lots of flashy assets, being super outgoing, &c). Only you can answer the question of whether or not you are happy.

That said, I'm not advising NOT to expand horizons IF you set your mind to it, just that you shouldn't feel pressured to do so.

Well I am somewhat depressed, but drinking certainly wouldn't make it any better.

Other than that there are a couple other problems I have but in general I'm happy.

Catgirls, they be ok too. Maybe you are right, Slayer. Perhaps the war was unnecessary after all. If I remember you initially wanted peace.
