Thread: Justin Bieber is going through puberty..career on the line.

What I personally don't like is the mentality people seem to get around celebrities. Of course he's attractive. If he wasn't famous, he'd be one of the boys liked by many female classmates. But he wouldn't be liked as much as he is now. Most people are more likely to admire or be attracted to someone if they know he or she is a celebrity. There's no rational reason I can see that we should think this way, it's just wired into us. Hearing about girls obsessing over the young celebrity just reminds me of this fact, that's why it sickens me. I try hard not to think of someone differently just because he or she is a celebrity. It's just a larger version of looking up to the popular clique in high school. Stupid and childish, something we should maybe strive to move beyond.

I am very interested in seeing where his life goes. His success was hardly of his own making. Some higher ups in the business caught wind of his videos and basically did all the work for him. I wonder what's going to happen when Bieber ruins his innocent boy image when he gets his first real-life erection and realizes he can fuck any girl he wants whenever he wants? Will the corporates toss him out in favor of someone cuter, someone younger? Early fame, I believe, is a curse in disguise. Early life is when the foundations of a person's character are laid. This kid did hardly anything for himself, what's going to happen to him later in life when nobody gives a damn? Bieber had better have made some friends in the business.

I'd hate to be Justin Bieber. I would, however, love to be Justin Bieber's friend. The benefits of personally knowing such a person would be infinite.

You wouldn't feel dwarfed by his shadow whenever you guys hung out? Noone would know your name. They'd know you as just "some kid hanging with JB." I've seen relationships get ripped to shreds due to one of the people coming into fame and wealth.

And don't try to deny that he's a wigger. He didn't grow up "in the hood", ie he had a damn privileged life. There's no reason for him to be putting on that African American accent and pretending to be black and gangster, using slang words that make him look ridiculous, and pretending to be who he's not.

And as Black Eagle said, he did next to nothing other than slap some videos on Youtube in order to get famous. He didn't strive for it. He didn't shed blood, sweat and tears for it. That's what we're all jealous about. There are some musicians that work their asses off and don't get half the fame he does. That's a good enough reason to be bitter over his success.

and yeah I agree with the rest of Eagle's post. It'll be interesting to see where he goes, if not back to school, the dumbass who doesn't know what German is. These fucking untalented kids need to go get a high school education.

i personally don't even like his music at all considering i'm not a 12 year old girl, but what really irks me more than all this praise he's getting is all the hate he's getting. I mean really, why does it bother people so much? There are so many celebrities out there getting way more attention and some of them are worse than he is, lets be honest. I get it, he's everywhere, but as Xei so eloquently put it, avoid crappy media and you're very well likely to avoid all justin bieber related news. Or just do the world a favor and cut the media out of your life entirely, you really don't need to know about celebrity gossip or the latest news on "terrorism".

anyway, hating on a successful (whether by luck or skill) pubescent boy really doesn't make you look cool at all, it makes you look jealous and cowardly. having said that, the video of him getting shot was pretty hilarious, thank god blood didn't get on that luscious hair of his.

The thing is; I've never actually heard Justin Bieber in an original context. I have never heard his music played. I have seen ads but you see ads for everything. To me he's much less annoying than Lady Gaga or somebody like that.

Whenever I walk into McDonalds his music is always on. It's quite creepy actually.

I'm not lying to be funny, but when I first hear "him" on the radio I really did think it was a girl singer. Then a few weeks later I heard the same song but they said it was by Justin Bieber and showed a pic on TV. I was shocked. It's like a Jesse McCartney or something, I knew he was going to fail.

I never heard him before I saw a youtube video with like 3 bazillion hits by chance, and I thought it was a parody, albeit not very funny.
But that's the only time I've heard him because I don't listen to shit radio and watch shit tv and read shitty news.
Being in school might be an exception to not hearing/about him. I think popular music is what drives some people to seek out other things though, so it's not all bad.

The first time I heard of him that I can recall was a few weeks ago where I peripherally saw that somebody else won some award that he was "supposed" to win and it was a really big deal or some shit. I didn't click the link. Then this thread was the next time. The name was familiar so I might have heard of him before.

Given my current state of mind, not at all. Even if there was some envy, I would not be so foolish as to let it get in the way of such a potent relationship. If you were Justin Bieber's best friend in a time when the mass majority of the male population hates him, you could potentially ride his success right to the top.

No, I don't mean "friend". I mean friend. I have seen absolutely nothing from Justin Bieber to suggest that he is a "fame consumed douchebag". If I ignore his music, he seems like someone I could get along with after he's well into puberty.



@Xei: I hear a lot more about Bieber from the complainers as well. In fact, out of the dozens of incidents in which I have seen or heard of him, only one or two were from news sources. All the rest were from dudes talking about what a bitch they think he is.

Really? I don't watch TV or listen to the radio at all and I've heard of him, like 6 months to a year ago even. A lot of people make references to him, like whenever someone has a bowl cut that needs making fun of. He also has his own fucking movie.
