Although American history is a bit bland, after it's been drilled into our heads every other year for 12 years, and then more in college. We spend 6 years on 200 years of American history, and then the other 6 on 10,000 years + of WORLD history. No wonder we are terrible at knowing how other nation's work.

Heck, I bet half of American students couldn't even name all 50 states on a map! That's sad, really. I don't even WANT to know how many can locate the US on a world map, let alone name more than 10 countries.

Just had an argument with a friend of mine about whether Canada was in america. As in, north America.

My friend was 'Ranting and Raving, Crying and Complaining' to me about how my other friend doesn't know how to count change and that he would always give him the wrong amount of money. Well one thing led to another and I asked the person who doesn't know how to count change something like "If I give you 1 quarter, 2 nickels and 7 pennies, how much money is that". To everyones dismay, he replied "I don't know what a nickel or a penny is..."

Well i know what a penny is but i can only guess what a nickel is....so i fail too?!

25+17=42 I know what coins are of course but it still took me close to two minutes to calculate that math. I wanted to test my brain out so I layed off the calculator at first. Then I checked my answer and realized I was wrong. Dyslexia. Or something...

My only real rant for now is Tonsil Stones I've not had them for a while but they made another appearance today. ANd now I'm curious if infection, allergy etc can help them form because it was lodged to the left side of my throat. My left ear has been hurting off and on, I still have a sore throat and my left lymph node is much more swollen than the right.
Or, it could just be a coincidence lol

Hmmm... Turns out, large tonsil stones (as I had) can actually CAUSE all the problems I've been having. Most interesting indeed lol

I've had those before too. I think it was from not brushing enough and being dehydrated. I was really freaked out when they first happen lol
I somehow figured out what they were by asking on Yahoo answers I think it's the only time anyone has gotten a real answer on there lol
But yeah, just drink lots of water and don't drink alcohol for a while. And cut back on cigarettes.
Anything that dries your throat out will help them form. And of course excess bacteria is all they are, so brush often. But don't use mouthwash.
Mouthwash actually dries your mouth and top of your throat out and it also kills all the good bacteria which is supposed to kill all the bad bacteria.
So basically everything you don't want. It's a useless product for the most part.

Also Spyguy, do you really call burqas "headkerchiefs"? I was LMAO when I read that. Or is it a derogatory term?

I wear upper dentures, wash them when I shower and I'm good to go. I've never worn lower dentures.
I've been drinking a ton of water lately. Well, that and Yerba Mate tea. The stone this morning loosened after chugging a bunch of water. I think the Yerba Mate dehydrates me in a weirdly major sort of way. My lips have been strangely pale and crackled-looking since I began drinking it this week. It also gives me the worst gas lol But it's supposed to be good for you, so I keep drinking it, figuring my system just needs to adjust.

I have chronic sore throat- possibly strep, and have since I was a teen. The first memory I have of the stones was when I was about 13 and it freaked me out too... but I thought it was just excess plague or something.
I've gone years between experiences though. :shrug:

My current rant is just fatigue. I've been incredibly sleepy all day though I've managed NOT to nap. Hopefully I'll get to sleep at a decent hour tonight.

You people need to lighten up and quit being so negative.

Yeah Yerba Mate has caffeine in it, so that dehydrates you as well.

I'd like to give a wall of text, but this world, all of the people you meet, are only important when you put significance to them. Who you are jealous now can easily be replaced when you find a set of people that you can sublimate your insecurities to.

That's why when I meet people in waking life, I tend not to hold grudges, because I always think that if I do that, I could've done that to any other person.

Same here when going to a forum like this. Sure it's the internet, but it has a set of people I've somewhat considered a social environment where I find certain qualities of myself being exhibited on other members.

I could go on another forum, and with right conditions, I could have the same feeling. Point being, I don't really think I could be bothered caring about other people's lives if I know that I can easily do so if I found someone else to replace them.

I'm probably not making sense. Oh, well.

But I find myself being considerate of a person on this forum because of certain qualities that I admire about them, even though I know I could respect someone else who could have these traits as well.

I guess it comes down to proximity and who you happened to meet at the time.

Enough of that.
