Puffin. Hope you tonsillectomy goes perfectly perfect

I'm very sleepy. I'm actually light-headed I'm so sleepy. What happened to the me who could stay away for days lol. Alas, I've gotten old
I got no sleep last night and about 3 hours this morning. I had to wake up at around noon though so I could take my daughter to the Dr. about her tonsils. So I took a caffeine pill before I went to sleep and I woke up on my own. That system seems to work wonderfully so long as I don't abuse it and I only take the pill during light exhaustion. If I'm too sleepy, it wont keep me sufficiently awake (like now) but it does help me to wake up after about 3 hours.
Tomorrow I need to check my cellphone messages (ran out of time on Friday), return a bunch of calls. But I wont be driving anywhere. I am out of gas until Midnight Wednesday/Thursday.

Hubby works all stinking week. He has lasers on the first Thursday of every month (surgeries every Tuesday), but I need him to patch up some rust on my vehicle so the mechanic will look at it so it can be inspected. This is our regular guy and he's booked until October!!!, but he said he'd try to squeeze me in so I don't get a ticket. But hubby has to get the patchwork finished first.
I hope the axel is cracking or something. Nona (the car ) has over 166,000 miles and hubby has to pay for major repairs every year at inspection time. As much as I love my vehicle, I think it's past time for an upgrade.

hehee... my oldest daughter did. I was starting to feel bad because the car didn't have a name (unlike all the other vehicles), so I was lamenting over her "no name" status when my daughter (about 9 or 10 at the time) said Nona No-name And it stuck.

The "boys" have been barking for four freagin hours! I'm cold, but I can't turn off my AC without having to hear them all the more. They are NEVER this loud for so long a period of time.
It's their "uncomfortable" bark.. like something's close to the property that they're not quite sure about. Which means deer or some other sort of critter. You'd think they'd be used to the deer etc by now
And their barking is upsetting Cocoa so she starts every now and then.

Ugh... 2 more hours before I can go to sleep.

I was pushing my cousin around in a wheelchair (he can walk but not for too long) all day long yesterday because we were at an amusement park and now I have a blister on my foot and my legs are sore. He was also supposed to bring a bud buster (that thing you use to crush/cut up marijuana) but he forgot it so we had to spend like the first 15 or so minutes going around asking people for scissors. We ended up heading to the customer service thing and asked the girl at the counter if she could let us borrow a pair; she wasn't allowed to do so but after a bit of persuasion, she finally handed us a pair. A little while later we returned them to her but they smelled real dank so she wasn't too happy about that. She was all like "Awww, you guys... =/" and I'm like "=D" I felt pretty bad afterwards though since we probably got her into a bit of trouble.

I was hanging out with my cousin a few days ago as well and all day long people were just killing my buzz. When we went to the corner store to get some slushies, the two people at the counter eyed us down the entire time like we were going to rob them or something. We went in and got out within 5 minutes but I had to head back into the store because I had forgotten to grab the straws. I told the woman at the counter that I was going back for straws and then even showed them to her on my way out. Then my cousin and I just stood outside the door with out slushies thinking of where to go next. The whole time, those two women stood there staring at us with their arms folded (I'm assuming they were trying to be intimidating) until we left.

Then as we were going down a sidewalk (I was on foot, he was on his bike), an elderly woman passed us while muttering a prayer for her safety or w/e. At one point, we stopped by this building that I think was a senior's centre and we asked a woman if it would be ok if we sat on a bench. She said we probably shouldn't, which is understandable I guess since it's a place where old folks come to hang out). But as we were going by, she said something like "You're wasting your life when *insert inaudible preaching* which bugged me because A. she was too far away to be able to smell the dank xD ; and B. she automatically assumed we were up to no good based on nothing but appearance. I'm going to assume it was just because of our clothes rather than a racial thing but even then, it's still ridiculous.

My cousin didn't seem to care but it totally killed my buzz. To make up for it though, we rolled up another and took a ride on the bus (which was ridiculously fun).

Hmm.. I wonder if we can develop a method to harness this particular thread to eletricity. You could run a small country with it.

I am also irritated by people who do not live according to the path they have stepped onto. It doesn't matter if it is religion or not, it is self betrayal. Like Darkmatters, I have also chosen a different approach on education. When I finished gymnasium I had almost all my grades maxed so I basically could have gone anywere I wanted to. Naturally, there was a lot of pressure for everyway. Peers, professors, relatives, friends, they all suggested me going to lawschool, medical school etc. The problem was I wasn't satisfied with any of those ideas, despite all that. So I drifted a while, went a military for couple years.. did all kinds of things and studied on my own. I regret none of it. Now after many years I think I'll go to school again. Not into university, but into physiotherapy combined with sport massage training. I find human body so interesting ( as I do with the human mind, psychology was my only university level opinion ) and it overlaps with my martial arts very well.

Also, one thing that irritates me beyond reason : why do people think they are better than other people? Especially if their reason is that they have more material wealth? I think this is more common in countries where there are bigger gaps between "social classes". Back here there are basically none, but the structure of society has been changing too. Most of the people are still "middle-class" with very few rich people. All that money loses its worth eventually.

I don't generally idolize people, but I have one historical figure that I look up to. Even though his works are focused on martial arts and warfare, I'd suggest everyone who is interested to look at them. Before his death Miyamoto Musashi wrote a little book ( his earlier book Go Ri No Sho has gained far more renown ) called Dokkodo, which is often translated as Path of Walking Alone. Those instructions have gradually become my own way in this life. It just took a great leap to the unknown to decide walk alone.

Sassafrax, I believe you have seen the most of it. I have yet to travel into America, but maybe next summer. I have worked in tourist jobs here and time to time I encounter Americans who are insanely self-righteous and haughty. Mostly older people, but yes. Those kind of people complain about everything and generally are very unpleasant to deal with. I rarely have problems with other nationalities. My friend told me that when she was a year in exhange in USA they were in evening walk some people shouted from cars ( that their daddies most likely bought ) about them being too poor to buy a car so they had to walk. That happened at least twice. How materialistic and.. well.. lost can people be. I feel sad for someone who has that kind of approach in life.

As Kansas sings : "Now don't hang on, nothing last forever but the earth and sky. It all slips away and all your money won't another minute buy. Dust in the wind.. all we are is dust in the wind." Gotta love that song.

      Back from tonsillectomy...
Throat's only a bit sore but it's manageable, but I'm still a bit woozy from the anesthetic. Gonna have to take it easy... Which means sleep, and no DV, drawing, movies, or anything else. Boo. >:(

Unelias, yes. I am sorry you had to deal with it, i wish to save all finns from America's self-righteous elderly. Those people you met at the tourist job, they are all like that here. Especially the elderly. And the retarded guys driving their daddy's cars are all like that as well. It's everywhere, except major cities (well, the elderly are still hauty and self-righteous though).
That's all on the outside, however. If you manage to dig into the culture a little bit (or a lot), you'll see great people. The haughty materialistic ass-holes are like the scab of America. It's all on the outside. Tourist places are no good for meeting decent folk that want to explore and learn on their own, that's where you meet the money-sucking stuck-up jerks that want people to wait on them hand and foot, all short of sexual favors (in some cases...).
I don't know if Finland is like that, might just be mostly America, i kinda don't doubt it. For awhile i was starting to believe almost the whole world is like that, but that also wouldn't surprise me.

      Thanks guys.

I'm up now, but I have to drink a buttload of water; it's making me use the restroom every hour. x_x'
The pain's gone up to a 5/10 now, which isn't cool in the slightest.
Imma look on the bright side, though - no more infections or tonsil stones!
