Rant: I feel liked the Pied Piper. Wherever I go, droves of cats are following (not really "droves" but still ). They are out of food. Monday is a long way away, so I need to think of something. I'll probably buy my hubby $20. worth of food (the kids stamps) so he'll give $20. then pay the kids back on Monday. Ugh. I can't wait until they start getting real paychecks then all of this will be avoided. My money has been going toward an abundance of gas for my car.
Starting next week, everything should be back to normal.

Rant: I've STILL not been able to get my laundry done. I've rummaged through clothes I had in storage, so I am now wearing the last of the last.

Rave: Still no teeth grinding How the heck does an ANTIHISTAMINE work like that? Granted, it's also marketed as (where's that paper again...) anticholinergic, and antiserotonergic with local anesthetic properties (Cyproheptadine - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia), but still. It's weird
I've been having more vivid and somehow more colorful dreams since being on it too... but I quickly forget those dreams because I keep waking up to the dog staring at me to be let outside

Rant: My little jumper box that allows me to run internet to 2 computers died in the storm. I have to plug the main line into my main computer. I'm thrilled that I have ONE working computer, but I can't watch anything on it without shuffling the cord around. I don't care if the old one gets viruses, so all my couchtuner viewing is done on it. Just in case.

STILL no grinding. This is amazing lol. I've been waking up on my own by 11, I fall asleep fast and I stay asleep for the most part (only the dogs waking me, not aches and pains). I feel like a new person
I got the animals food AND gas (got a cheaper, smaller bag) so now I only have to pay the kids back $10. instead of $20. seeing how the gas is for them.

Despite feeling like a million bucks physically, mentally I feel off. I anger and become impatient much faster than usual. People irritate me more, crowds are intolerable. Even happy noise bothers me where I used to shrug it off (happy noise= birds chirping peacefully, children laughing loudly etc). It's strange, but not concerning at this point. I hope it's just me and not this new cocktail. It would truly suck to have to choose between physical or mental health!!!

Hope everyone's well. It's been quiet on here lately, but I take it as a good sign

Link???? Haven't seen you for a while. Thought you was died.
      Thanks for the link

      RANT: FUCKING E-CIGS!!!!
Just destroyed around $1000 of PC components. The vapour had condensed around the case fans, and eventually dripped down on to my motherboard, GPU and probably CPU as well.

Had to replace the lot. 4 month old, ~$600 GPU.... FML.
Hopefully the company replaces it. I'm hoping it didn't actually get on it, and it was just the motherboard getting short-circuited which screwed the GPU.
Although the GPU went first, then the motherboard last night.

Anyway.... wasted the whole fuckin day fixing that shit.

      Link Nice to see you

Tommo. What happened with your e-cig? Did the vapor from your e-cig cause your PC trouble? (I just woke up so I'm a bit slow right now).
If so you must live in clouds of vapor.

My rant is that the dog is destroying my dream recall. I can't wait until the puppies are big enough to leave my room.
A rant/rave is that when I woke up, I went into the kitchen to feed and water the animals. I picked up the cat food bag and thought "heh, there's more in here than I thought". I dumped it and a kitten fell onto the floor. So, they're fasting until around 8 tonight. I feel guilty, but doggonit, the cats can go outside and hunt. And it's only 8 hours, so they'll live.

Rave: I've been on a major Minecraft kick for the last few days. Yesterday I created a world with no cheats enabled. I built a little hut on a hill then I ventured out a wee bit and built a house on stilts above some water. I got a saddle the first time I cast. Then I got an awesome enchantment book and some other rares. But there aren't any sheep so I've been masaquring (grrr sp!) all the spiders for their silk. I didn't have a bed until around a week in game lol.

Gotta find myself some food so I can take my morning meds, then it's back to gaming.
Hope everyone has a great day.

Lol yep. And yeah I think this new atomizer did it. It puts out clouds for dayyyzzzzzz.
It was also right in front of my face basically (behind my monitor) and I vape pretty much constantly so yeah....
I think it got taken in the intake, cooled down and condensed around the outflow fan. Which I stupidly put on top.
So it just dripped down after enough built up.
I've put my computer on the floor now and the top fan is blowing upward, so it should be okay.

I'd like to get back in to minecraft, it was fun. Just don't have enough time these days.
My dream recall is going to shit from alcohol lol Also hasn't been good for a while anyway.
I used to always remember my dreams, ever since I can remember.
When I started trying to lucid dream, my recall went to almost perfect levels immediately.
But now it's just crap, even if I'm not drinking,

I started trying to remember the last few days though and it's getting better already.
I'm gonna seriously try to LD regularly now. It's so fulfilling. Don't know why I ever stopped trying.

Most impressive, Tommo lol. I don't care for the massive clouds. I just toke on mine like a real cigarette and create similar amounts of vapor.

I actually remembered some of my dreams from last night. I insisted Kierra go potty before bed. She tried waking me at some point but I ignored her and all was still well. It was a stress dream though Somehow I had both the Land Cruiser (which I've not driven in YEARS) AND the RV stranded and out of gas. I was thinking about pawning my wedding ring for gas money etc etc.

I'm rocking Minecraft I started a new game yesterday (another one ) and I spawned in a Deep Ocean. It felt like Bioshock as I rushed to the surface. There was an island beside me. I ended up counting it. It was 11 blocks high and the main bulk of the island was 31 by 33 blocks wide. There was a thin finger of beach extending from there. There were around 5 oak trees and 2 birch trees and little dirt (most was sand). I got TWO seeds from from the sparse grass. I decided to see if I could make it work. I've died SO many times, lol, but I'm making it.

I'm debating whether or not I should go back to bed...

Let's see if we can get a page of just me and you Zhaylin lol

Damn Link ruined this one, but I reckon we can do it. Everyone seems to have no complaints about their perfect bloody lives. lol

      Sorry I'm drunk.

My rant is I still don't know when my nursing placement is. It's so soon and they still haven't told me what I need to do, when I need to work etc.
I bet I'm gonna have to wake up early, so I need to get in that routine, and also stop drinking.
I've also got prac hurdle soon, it's requirement to pass it. I 100% know everything, but I get so confused when actually *doing* it.
For example with basic life support, I know all the steps, but as I'm doing it IRL, I forget them.

I guess it just takes practice. And the teacher did say we can take our time, so it should be alright I think.

lol, you're on Tommo. I could probably carry a page by myself most days
sounds stressful, not knowing what's up. And that test But it's good to tackle the stress NOW so you don't freeze IRL.

My rant is that my math isn't adding up compared to RL.
I filled my gas tank twice last week for $60. total. That should be $120. for 2 weeks?
      I'll go with that figure.
It's 11 miles to get the kids to work- 11 miles back. My car gets around 22 miles to the gallon. So that SHOULD be $3. a day just getting them to work and back.
      $3. x 5 days a week

Now I'm even worse off than when I first started.

I'm just going to quit while I'm ahead for now

      Maeni.

I know what I was doing wrong with my math... I'm charging them $6. a day for some reason. Oh well. I'm going with that

We went out to eat at a Chinese buffet and boy was it outstanding. It's almost $11. per person though, without drinks. It was worth it though for a once in a great while sort of purchase. They had a little bit of everything from Sushi, to fried rice and general tso's chicken to BBQ ribs and brussle sprouts. There was an awesome assortment of desserts too.
The only thing they didn't have was decent soda. The sweet tea was perfect though.

I picked up a SIMS game and a new burner phone, filled up my gas tank, and got hubby a bunch of tuna with a very old b-day walmart gift card (it's anywhere from 5-10 years old lol).
No rants here. At least not for now

We adopted a puppy yesterday, which is awesome, exciting, and scary. He's at the shelter until Friday though.

I have a really bad sinus attack right now. It has been building for days, and now, it is hitting hard. I just have to survive two more days.

How exciting, Tiresias! Enjoy your new bundle of energy. Hope you're feeling better today

      Beautiful picture, EbbTide.

      Tropical. Great goal
I have a similar goal of not expecting the worse from my loved ones. I knew their weaknesses and how they can sabotage themselves with their mouths.

A major hospital is trying to buy our local one. The local one has been suing my hubby for some 5 years for his practice. Hubby's lawyers blocked the purchase for the big hospital. Hubby meets with the big hospital lawyers to explain why. I wanted so desperately to encourage him to keep his trap shut and let the other doctor and the lawyers do all the talking. Hubby's very rough around the edges. He says a lot of things that confuse or offend people.
But if I said anything, he would have gone to the meeting feeling insecure. Hubby's also uber smart, so perhaps letting him talk can let his brilliance shine. Ugh.. I wish he'd get home already to tell me how it went.

A rant is that I woke with a huge red spot on my face near my mouth. I dreamed that our young dog was dying of shock from bee stings to his face and body. Is the spot near my mouth a bee sting? Or is it an inflamed pimple lol. Whatever it is, it's VERY sore- like a bruise.

I'm also back to playing taxi today... and I MUST get to the post office to see about renewing my passport. It expires at the end of the month

      Now time for food....

I pay about that much for gas, but I drive 70 miles a day... so yea, something doesn't seem right there. I believe I average around 27 - 29 MPG, but still.

My rant is that I don't have time to rant. But it's Friday, and three day weekend.

So around 35 miles each way? Gah! I'd move lol I love to drive, but I hate commuting.
It's around 110 miles a week to get the kids to work and back. Add around 70 for counseling. That's still less than 200 miles a week.
I get about 22 miles to the gallon, and charging $3. a gallon... How does that go... 200 divided by 22 = 9.09 x's $3? $27.27? See? My math sucks royally. That would be around 1 tank a week. (It costs almost $30. to fill my tank).
Or is my math correct? If my math is correct, where is all the other gas coming from? I fill up 1 1/2 times a week normally.

Anyhow... enjoy your 3 day weekend

I had some friggin awesome dreams last night. But I've already forgotten most of the best one.
It was my spirituality (a female DC) pitted against my rationale (a male DC). I dreamed as both DC's at varying times. At the end of the dream, it was revealed that the female DC had been injured and was living in her head with a sort of Matrix vibe. The male was trying to pull her out of it

A rant, other than forgetting more of the specifics of the dream, is that I forgot to take my nightly meds and I chewed my cheek.

Otherwise, life is quiet and good.

Yea, nope, still doesn't add up. Sure you're getting 22MPG?
$60 total at $3/gallon would be 20 gallons, which got you 200 miles... so that'd mean you got 10MPG. And that's horrendous. Hummers get better gas mileage! So either someone else is driving your car, or you're burning through gas like crazy. Next time you completely fill up, I'd reset one of the mileage 'trip' meters, or just write down the odometer reading. Then you'll have an exact mileage, which you can divide by the exact amount of gallons it took to fill up again. If it's still that bad, my vague, uneducated guess is something is wrong with your car.

I really don't mind the driving. My main complaint there is just the mileage I put on my car. I have to change my oil about every 2 months. My car's even worse than normal because it burns through oil really quick. My engine is the same as several Toyota cars, and those models actually had a recall because of burning through oil. But my car is a 'Scion', so the recall technically doesn't apply to my car, even though it's the exact same engine. Which is bullshit; they know the problem is there, but they're just avoiding it as long as possible.

I drive all over the place. Walmart trips all the time, trips to convienance (sp!) stores etc. I just didn't realize how much mileage was adding up.
That sucks about your engine, Sefalik. Too bad people don't take proper responsibility but look for loop-holes instead.

      Laura. Get better soon.

      Have fun Blair!

My rant is my blood pressure. For the last two days, I wake up, move around a bit, sit down and BAM- I'm super dizzy. So I took my blood pressure 143/73 with a pulse of 105. What the heck?! I know what's doing it, but it's weird. It's my e-cig. Nicotine is hitting MUCH harder than it should. After about an hour, everything equalizes and life is good again. I'll check to verify, but my pressure tends to run around 118/78-ish
I guess it's hitting my so hard because I've been sleeping for 10-12 hours and I'm trying to come down with a cold or something.
BUT, shouldn't consistent nicotine intake throughout the day make my pressure high? Nope, just first thing in the morning

A rave is that hubby gave in and bought my a Fitbit Charge. He's adding the cost to my tab but I had to have it. I've been looking at them for years. Setting it up was not intuitive and it didn't come with any sort of manual. But I got the pdf on-line and got it squared away. Only gripe is that when I'm gaming, it thinks I'm sleeping (there is no "sleep" mode- it automatically records sleep which is a major flaw).

Another rave is that Mom's Taxi is shut down until Wednesday night unless Paula decides to work on one of her days off. Ray has "bronchitis" so he's enjoying his down time.

I'll go to the store later tonight and that's it. Unless hubby wants to do something. I might go to Walmart with him to pick up a new router. Life is nice and quiet today

So I passed the test! Luckily I got vital signs which I had practiced heaps.
It was funny though, I was hoping for it the whole time, then when I got it I started shitting myself thinking I don't know it properly.
I totally fucked up with writing on the chart, just completely wrong place. But I passed anyway so whatever.
I wasn't nervous at all until this girl who was also waiting to go in started saying how nervous she was and wanted to throw up etc.
I hate when people do that, keep it to yourself! Nervousness is contagious.
      I kept it together though.

Rant: I have to work 3 of the placement days starting at 7AM. Which means I'll have to get up at 5:30.
I hate getting up early. On the plus side I do remember more dreams the earlier I get up. I'll have to get in that schedule ASAP, less than a week left
It's also probably gonna be insanely cold since it's winter, and I have to ride my motorbike. This is not gonna be fun....
I've also rarely done 8 hour shifts at any job, so that's also gonna suck.
But I hope it's worth it, I'm enjoying the course etc. so should enjoy the job.
I'm glad I picked up my new glasses too, gonna make me way less tired and make it easier to focus on learning/doing stuff.

I guess I've switched occupation to 'going home crying' because it feels like all I do lately. Like I've said before, crying is really uncommon for me but in this month I have just been ridiculously sensitive. It's nice, though. It's good to have feelings that make me feel genuine. I guess I could say they make me feel alive but wow is that cliche. It makes me feel genuine. But unfortunately, my two very real and very intense feelings completely contradict each other. They are each other's diametric opposite. I came in to work today, and for the first time I felt something very tangible in my mind. Usually it's just awful because my stomach aches, I feel dizzy and I feel like I have a shortness of breath - but this time when I stepped inside I noticed something other than physical symptoms - just a big ol' thought. It went something like "Wow, I really don't want to be here.".

While I was waiting to talk to my boss, as was the plan, I just fell down into some kind of sensitive hell-hole and started crying. I think it's because I'm going to quit soon. And knowing how terrible I feel lately, the fact that I will have to say goodbye soon becomes too close for comfort. A large part of me wants to be out immediately, but of course I have to quit a month ahead so the earliest I can technically leave is July 1. I just feel that I can't... Or don't want to... Wade through all of June with the way things are now. The opposite feeling, of course, is that I already miss these people so damn much, just from being at work less and having less hours, things changing since April... It is too much, it's fucking killing me.

Maeni I hope the end comes quickly (sounds so ominous lol). I hate goodbyes too. Just want it over and done with. Prolonging the inevitable just adds misery.
      Hope better days come soon.

No rants here. I was up until almost 5Am playing Minecraft lol. I am MOST impressed with myself My tiny little beach has been transformed.
Not really... but sort of. I made a copy of my world in creative so I could grab a screen shot... then I decided to explore the vast emptiness and found a spot of land quite a distance off. I got back into my real game. Thousands of cobblestones, granite and andesite later, I have a canal about 6 spaces wide and lets see... 60-70* 240 blocks long (to reach the land). I have 2 walkways on either side of the canal lined with stone fences on each side. I've made one connecting bridge (overpass) so far. Then I made another one and decided that would be a great place for a port/hub. It is massive (to me lol). I'm still working on it.

I started out on the beach. I dug out a cave and that's where I do all my fishing. On top, I finally built a limestone home. Then I went out to a small sandbar and build a traders hub. From there the madness ensued and I built the canal etc. The beach itself, however, has been largely ignored.
Meanwhile, because I'm playing in survival, I have to take a LOT a breaks to mine and gather goods. But I'm having a blast.

Time to get back to it
Hope everyone's having a great day.

      **EDIT**
I KNEW my calculations were wrong. So I counted. When making my huge hub, I divided the canal into 2 sections. Each section is 110 blocks with an extra 20 blocks that connect them... for a total length of 240 blocks. That's just for the stretch of canal which joins (uncounted) to my first smaller hub near the beach.
Between my tiny beach and the first real land mass is about 400 blocks *whew* No wonder I felt lost at sea.
you have to cross half of the canal before you begin to see the landmass.
