Tell something weird about the place you live. I thought it might be interesting. I hope this is the right place to post something like this. Let me start.

My city seems to rarely ever have thunderstorms or snow. It sometimes even looks like as if it was deflected, or sometimes the clouds just stop being thunder clouds or snow clouds and just don't release their load as they pass over the city. It's really silly by now. Though when there's a thunderstorm, there is REALLY a thunderstorm. 2014 a gigantic cloud came from the Netherlands. At first it was just overcast for a long time, until the afternoon, and then, suddenly, the sky turned green. Then it started raining extremely loud for 2 hours or so. Then it was night... in the middle of afternoon. A gigantic wall of darkness not even 200 meters away from the ground had passed over us. Then it lit up as lightning got more and more frequent, until it was so frequent that you could discern the outside world without sunlight. The hail was large, and in some parts of the state tornadoes nearly came down. It took so long that it stopped only in the middle of what was truly night. Turns out apparently most of Europe was covered by a gigantic cloud, and the center of the storm was right over my city.

Sadly, no such thing occurred with snow. Yet, at least.

What are your experiences?

Greenage is a really good indication that there is a supercell thunderstorm that has potential for a tornado, rotation is approaching. The reason it may not hit you.. or some to miss you, it could be your elevation and temp?
We have Thundersnow here, it's not that unusual where I live.
For me, we have had some sightings of "Globe Lightning" or "Ball Lightning" where we live. I guess the first one was in 1916.
We rarely have tornado touchdowns here where I live now. The last one was back in 2008.

Thanks for your replies, but I actually intended this to generally be about weird things in locations you live in/know, not weird weather or about what happened to me. Sorry if I worded it like I wanted to put my experience in the foreground.

Yes, that works. That's a really good idea, my location has lots of those as well.

Yes, that works. Basically, anything that's weird in the location you choose to talk about.

At night I'll sit on porch for a quick cigarette. Its loaded with tall tree's. It's like my backyard transforms into some enchanted forest. I constantly hear numerous unusual bird sounds. They must be communicating about something important. It's somewhat spooky and almost feel like I'm crashing their party.

I have weird but good neighbors, the other week a neighbor gave us some bread. What's weird about it is that he placed the assorted bread on our porch at 1am

Boise, Idaho: The famous Oregon Trail runs through the town. Parts of it are preserved and you can walk it. It is near lava shelves resulting from the Bruno-Jarbridge super volcano. In places it is a solid sheet maybe 50 feet deep. We are the only state capitol to have Bald Eagles thriving inside the city. There were secret Chinese tunnels from the Tong Wars under downtown, but most were dug up to build modern buildings.

The woman living next to me was up to something. Everyone puts their trash bags out once a week (next to mailbox). Numerous times she'd walk out to trash bags then put a small 'package' on top of garbage (about the size of a hoagie). Immediately afterwards a car would pull up, window down, and grab just that package, then speed off.
One time my brother spontaneously watched the car pull up, (6am) from kitchen window. When the driver saw him watching, he didn't grab the package and quickly took off! Plus the same woman started an online neighborhood crime watch. Am I paranoid? Or does this seem unusual.
