man arrested after freeing birds

So this Green Peace guy goes out to one of those animal shelters, and releases all these birds. While doing so, he films himself releasing these birds for a good hour. The thing is, the birds weren't fully recovered, and he was arrested after they found the video on youtube.

I bought some birds and freed them once. (srs)

I assume they died soon after from predators.

I recommend not freeing birds because they're probably domestic birds and won't know how to survive in the wild. For wild animals, after they recover from their injuries, release them in their natural environments.

Not cool, freeing animals that are mistreated are one thing. Freeing animals from people who are helping them is retarded. That'd be like coming to my house and letting my dog out even though he's quiet happy in my little place. Yeah, I'll bet most of the birds are dead by now because they didn't have the ability to survive in the wild.

The birds were probably tagged.

(Oh, but yeah, if they haven't fully recovered, they probably just didn't get very far. Most rescued animals are tagged, though, if there are plans for them to be released.)

Skipped to like half way through, and he's just handling them so badly - one hand around the neck - calling them motherfuckers and scaring the shit out of them.
He threw one over the cage and it just sat there. Yeah.... clearly want to get out so badly huh?

LOL i was waiting for someone to actually watch the vid he made. One of these days I'll be able to watch this inglourious incident.
