Thread: Why do people hate rainy/stormy weather?

I absolutely love the rain. I'm 36 and I was thinking about what it was like when I used to be a kid. I remember running outside when it was just down pouring. Last spring I made it a point to do that again. So, it began pouring out. I ran out my back door and yes it was cold. After a minute or two I got used to it and I felt like a kid again. My neighbors were probably wondering WTF is this guy doing... but all I remember is how much I had missed this as a kid. It was exhilarating to say the least.

I like rain when I'm inside... it makes the grass greener
but when I'm just outside, getting soaked, having to worry about the cell phone in my pocket, then I hate it

I think rainy summer days are truly beautiful, there is something enchanting about the whole atmosphere.
I really love taking a walk in the early morning when it has been raining all night.

The only times I don't want stormy weather are when I have decided to spend an all-nighter with some awesome RPG, like Final Fantasy 6 or whatever, and I fear that lightning might strike my house.
It really sucks when I have made it far into a great RPG and then suddenly everything shuts down, especially when I'm leveling up in Dragon Quest 2 in preparation for the final boss and then have to do it all over again just because of power failure.

I love rain, specially rainy summer nights, when it's hot outside and the cold water just feels so good when it hits your skin. That atmosphere is truly beautiful, and the smell that remains after a rainy day just makes me shiver.

As long as I don't have to drive in it, I love the rain. Driving it in sucks though.

i live in vancouver bc, so yeah it rains a lot. i like it usually, except once it gets sunny i realize how depressing all the rain and clouds were.. just hanging in the sky. still like rain though, i guess growing up here gets you used to it.
