Thanks! Yeah, I kayak sometimes in my dreams. And in LDs I like to fly over Lake Powell or the Grand Canyon. Because in real life as I look out over the views I will say, "Okay, I can't fly out over it now, but as soon as I get lucid I will." It's a neat thing to be able to think. Not many people can look out over a view like that and know that soon they will be able to fly over it in a very real feeling way. |

It was uncold enough today to eat an orange on the porch. I haven't had a really good orange yet this year |

If you have a sense of caring for others, you will manifest a kind of inner strength in spite of your own difficulties and problems. With this strength, your own problems will seem less significant and bothersome to you. By going beyond your own problems and taking care of others, you gain inner strength, self-confidence, courage, and a greater sense of calm.Dalai Lama

Love that this has turned into another post pics of pets thread. Awh erii you're Westie is toe adorables, their ears are my fave. I wish so badly that I had a camera with me at work yesterday morning, though if I did post a pic it would cause you all to lose your lunch. |

I'm at the southern end of Illinois - right across the Mississippi from St. Louis. There's actually a lot of flat land not far from here - especially the broad floodplains alongside and near the river and out toward Iowa. But I'm nestled into this little sweet spot where it's all rolling little hills and woods, with the streets cutting over and through it all like those curving little streets at the Zoo. For me the most beautiful time is fall as the leaves fall away and you can see the little clusters of lights rolling off over the hills into the distance. |
