Ignorant bliss is an oxymoron; but so is miserable truth.
I tend to use 'amazing' a lot and it bothers me when I use it. I try to use other words where appropriate. The problem is that most other words that come to my mind have extra baggage... I mean they wouldn't be 2 separate words if they had the exactly same meaning. More often I can't find any word that would adequately describe the idea I'm trying to convey, so I end up having to settle for a word I feel I use way too often like 'horrible' or 'terrible'. It actually bothers me a lot. I get OCD pretty badly while writing, especially when I'm paying attention to it like now. |

So um, what is this "Thesaurus" of which you speak of? Is this a dinosaur of some sort or a word in general term to describe the extinct race of reptiles? Just joking around . Well, I see your point there. |

I was thinking of this yesterday as I was listening to the Jim Rome show. During some of the breaks they would say "Jim Rome in a word is Epic". I'm guilty of it myself, but I think it's time for everyone to move on. I say we bring back "swell" and "nifty" because I've been playing waaaay too much fallout recently. And don't forget about "bad ass". |

One of my friends used to say "rad". I loved her. |

You should include the word "Sick" which I still use pretty often and don't forget "the bees knees" Which I actually just used earlier here..lol. I'm thinking of bringing back the word "Fresh"...lol |

Fresh is shit. I always used to say "stale" when someone said it lol |
|
When did people start describing things as "epic"? Seems to me only a couple years ago. |

"You Can't, You Won't And You Don't Stop"Lucid Goals: [Ask a DC: "Am I dreaming?"] [Ask a DC: "What are you?"]
Not sure if "neat" is on par with "awesome" or "epic". And I don't see "mathematical" on that list.. |
|
When I think something's good, I usually say "cool" as my most nonchalant word, but when something's extra good, I say "sweet". Then "awesome" after that. I hate how people have destroyed the word "epic", so I steer clear of using it. |

DILDs: A Lot
Because most of them sound weird |

Whatever happens~
For EVERYONE I know lately, the "go-to" adjective is "fantastic." All of my professors use it, my friends use it too much, and I hear it all the time in recent movies and on TV. Fantastic: It's the silent killer (of my soul.) |

I mix up my words a ton, it's what makes me seem like a snarky, pretentious, know it all (that everyone loves(I hope(somebody love me!))) |

"For a long time it gave me nightmares, having to witness an injustice like that. It was a constant reminder of how unfair this world can be, I can still hear them taunting him. 'Silly Rabbit, Trix are for kids!'... How come they just couldn't give him some cereal?"
