Thread: If you could change 1 think about yourself...

So, some random fucking iunno.... Genie comes along and tells you to he can change one thing about you. Now, you CAN say something like, give me abs, make me thinner, or something. But you can also change something that would be impossible to change otherwise (height, size of penis >_>, skin colour, etc). Also, you cannot make yourself smarter, or give yourself a new talent, you must change something about you! What would you do? One final thing, nothing impossible, like lasers from your eyes, or flying abilities, or super strength.

[RE-EDIT: You can change something physical. emotionally or mentally about yourself. But you can't do something impossible or give yourself a new talent (like piano playing). You also can't make yourself smarter.]

Anyways I would make my eyes either bright gold or bright green. I always had a thing for green and gold eyes.

I'm not sure I understand the rules. Does it have to be something physical? If so, I would give myself perfect vision. I hate being dependent on contact lenses.

I'd also like to get rid of my many scars but I suppose vision wins over that.

Being confident in everything i do.

I'd stop giving in to junk food so easily.

But it's so damn good... ;~;

Edit: also, I'm pretty sure that if you go to the subforum page where your thread is listed, and double-click just off the title, it will allow you to edit it.

I'm too egotistical. I'm the perfect height, I'm good looking, thin, confident, etc. There's nothing physical I would change about myself. I would give myself some foresight or mental check because I'm typically overconfident in everything I do. Which doesn't sound like a flaw, but I don't like when I disappoint myself.

It depends really; can I add in a time based system? Like, only change one thing for x amount of time?

If so, totally would go and change my gender for a day or two.

If that's not an option, then Idunno, grow another inch or two.

God, would I hate to be short. I'm 5'11". Tall for the common plebeians, but not too tall. You all know about the too tall.

Nothing.

I am who I am, and that is what makes me who I am. To change any aspect of me would be to change the very person I am.

However, to grow and sculpt myself into something different -- now that I will do because at the end of it, I'll still be me, plus all the experiences that make me into the newer me.

All my experiences, good and bad (lots of bad), all my physical defects, emotional transgressions, spiritual beliefs and intellectual downfalls make me exactly the person that is sitting here typing to you today, and I am a beautiful person. I completely accept myself for who I am, and at times yes I wish to change, but then I'd be cheating myself out of growing into the man I'm supposed to become. Every moment in my life has been a lesson.

Sure, I'd like the abs -- then I'll go work out, and transform my body. Yeah, I'd love to be smarter -- then I'll study harder. It's not ALL possible at the same time, but I can't be perfect; I'm not God. I'm perfect in my own imperfections. Until then i'll stay the person that I am and then slowly transform into the person I'm supposed to be.

I'd fix my vision, I'm currently at a -6.50 in both eyes. (People who know eye problems will know what that means.)

And make it so they didn't get worse over time. I just want eyes that WORK without contacts or glasses that look like coke bottles.

EDIT: I wouldn't like to be smarter... because then my brain would work differently than it does now, and I might not like myself as I do now. I'm content with my intelligence, but not with my vision xD

That's terrible, I'm sorry. I'm -4.25 and thought that was bad, which it is, but yours is worse. It seems they keep getting worse, and I need stronger prescriptions every couple years, when they were supposed to have leveled off by now. The optomatrists are always surprised. And the place I get contacts from (which happens to be Costco..) insists on giving me -3.75. But I hope to get laser eye surgery or whatever it's called at some point. Sorry I'm rambling, sleep depravation and homework for like 15 hours straight.

I deal with it. My eyes will probably be up to -7.00 by this summer when I have to get my next prescription upgrade. They keep telling me that it'll level off eventually, but I'm starting to doubt their word. "Well this happens to teens and people in their early 20's..." It's been happening since I was in second grade, here people! Gahhhh.

My favorite brand of contacts doesn't go past -6.00 so they had to switch me to something else. I think contacts only get up to -10.00 at the most extreme, so my eyes better not fucking keep deteriorating. I know I got it from my dad's side, they all wear/wore coke-bottle glasses (plus they all had extremely green eyes, like the rolling hills of Ireland.) And my eyes are green as heck (which makes wearing glasses all the worse.)
