I can see in the dark? But in a weird way

So basically sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night and when I do I think it's daytime as I see perfectly, then I saw that it was 3am, so I went outside my door and everything was glowing.. kinda like the Eagle Vision from Assasins Creed. And I looked at the floor and it was glowing I was confused so I went in my room, turned on the light was literally blinded, opened my eyes and it was pitch black, looked outside my door and it was dark.. super dark. Any ideas?

Perhaps your pupils dilate really big and you have great night vision?

My night vision sucks for the first 5 minutes, after a bit my eyes adjust and I can see better but not like you describe.

I bet that is it. Add in a hint of hypnogogic effect and you could get the glowing aspect. If you are fully awake then just what guerrilla said.

You, my son, are the one The Prophesy spoke of. Rejoice, for your time has come.

Hmm, thanks for the replys It could be false awakening but it happens quite a bit. I would take a picture but I would have to use my laptop, but that would generate too much light and it would stop. And I'm not sure if my eyes glow from it, as I didn't get a chance to look in the mirror.

You don't have enhanced night vision. If you did, you'd be studied because you would be evolving in front of people's eyes.

It happened again yesterday, I woke fell asleep for an hour at night, then woke up, and in my sight I could see yellow as I was looking, it was like flashing around my eyes, like going in a circle, then it stopped and everything was bright yellow again, went downstairs and my eyes just glow yellow, with big pupils. Idk what it is, my eyes are just good at night vision I guess, as I can adjust to the dark in seconds now

Do you usually go back to sleep after you have experienced this?
In that case you should be very excited, because it's highly possible that these weird events are actually False Awakenings.
You can use them to your advantage by preparing for the next time it happens, and tell yourself that you are going to perform a bunch of reality checks that time.

Personally I think False Awakenings are awesome, because for some reason I have a much easier time becoming lucid in those kinds of dreams.
It's usually a scenario like "hm, I feel weird, probably one of those False Awakenings again, now let me perform a reality check here --- yep, I'm dreaming".

Sometimes, but that one I just talked about I actually sat in bed and watched the TV and then went to sleep, although if I do go back to sleep I'll be sure to do a reality check!

How do you know what your eyes looked like? It's rather difficult to see them most times. Unless of course it's a dream, which have a tendency to always show us relevant information even if it means cutting to a sudden impossible view. Can you do this in the daytime by turning off lights in a shuttered room, or is it always after you've been sleeping and then go back to sleep afterwards?

And I can probably do it at day but my blinds don't do much, but at night when it's dark, my eyes will start to flash yellow then glow full, I saw them because we have a mirror downstairs So you know.. I just looked in the mirror?

Ok so, if you really believe you have mutant superpowers (that only happen when you've been in bed for a while, like most alien abduction stories), and that happen to resemble an effect from a video game you've played, why did you come to a lucid dreaming website to talk about it?

Well it can happen at day time but only if it's dark enough. But when it is, my eyes will start flashing orange, then will go full orange and everything will be glowing, I knew my eyes were glowing because I have a mirror downstairs, thats why I went downstairs xD Sorry if I posted this twice, it didn't post the first time to me o.o

I came to here because I don't know any other forums, and I never trust them, they're always so weird the medical ones, asking for information they don't need
