One of my bedroom "house spiders". I love how the flash of my cellphone (and the dust beneath him lol) makes him look almost alien. His body, in the pic, looks almost translucent (it's really a solid brown).

Just call me Swampthing of the evening, Swampthing!! I know I smell really bad, stinky... Hiking in the wood in a swamp... I smell like the swamp and at one point I got stuck in the there.

CAT TAILS!! Would you believe, until VERY recently, that I truly believed it was illegal to pick them?
My grandmother told me that and I took it as gospel (that and that it was illegal to kill preying mantises which also isn't true )

I took some more pictures today. I'll add them here later today or tomorrow. I have a few pathetic pics of 'shrooms and some unknown plant (weed). Maybe a couple other things...

This stuff is neat. I always thought it was moss because it's all over the ground and soft to walk on.
When I looked closely, though, they look like tiny trees.

I posted the pics to FB to ask if anyone knew what they were. They're Milkweed. I don't know how I've never noticed them before

I went on the nature walk and saw the army of Turkeys in the field. Took some picture and then went on my way. Then When I went home I saw them in the woods.

Hubby and I went to the Farm today, to see a man about putting a new roof on the house there.
There was a deer in the distance and a deer carcass fairly close to it. I always thought deer avoid smells of death.
There were also Blue Jays and Cardinals flying around
All of those were too far away to get pictures of

We went into the house, and then basement; and it was there that I saw something nightmares are made of:

It was a spider carcass, completely and perfectly covered in dust... and it was one of the coolest things I've ever seen lol

"This guy has been hanging out in my room for a couple of days. He's been on the outside of my mosquito net (which is around my bed), but he made his way to my desk today.

I was about to ask if anyone knew what it was, but a quick search revealed him to be an Assassin Bug (possibly even a Milkweed Assassin Bug lol). And they CAN bite if threatened."

Though the pics are weird and I'm not completely sure that's what he is, after all. I ended up moving him to the laundry room to hang out with all the spiders He's probably only in here for warmth anyhow (though it's not all the cold just yet).

Beautiful snow fall.
We finally got a bit of a true dusting yesterday. I broke down and started using my crocheted cape. I had PT yesterday, so I wore shorts, tank tops and sandals with socks- with the hefty cape covering all of it. It was wonderful
