I'm ridiculously popular in real life. To the point of I'm having current freshman from my old high school trying to friend me on Facebook and asking if I am indeed "Couch".

Which, by the way, is my nickname that I picked up sophomore year and I haven't been able to shake it yet.

Regardless of this, I wouldn't say I have more than 10 close friends.

Also I'm letting my grades plunge even though when I do go to class I already know all of the material being covered.
This is mainly because I have no challenges at my current school.
Community College is a cesspool and I have no motivation to get out.

Lyrics are such an integral part of music that go hand in hand with melody and harmony. Of course there are flat lyrics that mean nothing (mainstream, mainstream, mainstream) but there's so many good songs out there that would hardly offer as much connection if there were no lyrics. You can't interpret a bassline or a guitar riff. To say one is more important than the other is more shallow than the lyrics of whatever music you're listening to.
When I first listen to a band, I listen to the music they play. If it doesn't interest me, then I move on. If I like the band, then I will start to learn the lyrics (coz I'm always singing when driving), and then I focus more on the lyrics at that point

Being a musician, the music stands out to me more than the singing

I've heard some bands that have good music, but the singing is just so lame or monotone, it sucks, so I don't listen to them

I'm not sure I entirely agree...I am, after all, a big fan of the term "Some things need not be said". I mean, you don't need lyrics to Beethoven's moonlight sonata to describe the doomed relationship that supposedly inspired it. The music does an awesome job of that...such a good job, in fact, that to add lyrics, I think, would be to ruin the song and detract from its original magic.

Not that I'm really saying that there aren't some pretty great lyrics out there, but...there are so many songs - even modern ones - that convey such strong emotion and meaning without any lyrics to back them up. If music can do that without the use of lyrics, then I submit that lyrics, while nice to have (if done right), are not entirely crucial to the soul of music.

...In my own humble opinion, of course. Unfortunately, there exist many people who won't listen to instrumental music simply based on the fact that it doesn't have lyrics conveying some big, activist message (something I've always despised in lyrics).

I think the key factor to being musically unbiased is to be all encompassing - to focus on every aspect of a song, whether it be Beethoven, Pink Floyd, Dallas Green, Killswitch Engage, or Wu Tang Clan.

Moonlight Sonata is in an entirely different dimension compared to songs that NEED lyrics. It's haunting, it's ethereal, it's flowing, it's profound, it makes you think. It's classical music. Where would the Doors have been without the poetic ballad in the End, or Pink Floyd if they hadn't written any lyrics for the Wall (let me tell you, the Wall wouldn't exist; every song progresses the 'story' of the album)?

There's many modern songs - instrumentals - that are fucking incredible (Ocean, John Butler Trio). They don't need lyrics, either, but that doesn't mean every song in the existence of music doesn't need lyrics. I couldn't stand if everything was an instrumental. Plus, who doesn't love a good voice?

I say this because I am a wordsmith, a poet, a musician and a songwriter, and I'm a little insulted when lyrics aren't respected and go unacknowledged just because people don't know how to be original these days.

      No beef.

Oh, I'm most certainly an INTJ. Every time I have taken a Jung typology test I have scored as an INTJ.

It's just your personality type, and there are all sorts of interpretations for it floating out there. In all, there are 16 distinct Jung personality types.

      I'm a ESFJ

      slightly expressed extravert

      distinctively expressed sensing personality

      moderately expressed feeling personality

      slightly expressed judging personality

Seems about right for me! So, I am not that popular of a personality for this forum, so, so and so says?

And SENSORY means? I like to express myself? If so, that is SO incredibly true! I totally expressed my annoyance in bowling for gym today (at an actual bowling alley!) very loudly and everything. None of it was swearing though, you know that!

Hey, very nice! We could use a bit of diversity, actually.

Funny thing is, it's estimated that INTJ-ers only make up about 1 to 3% of the population, yet about 90% of DV is INTJ. It's kinda spooky, really.

and, why do you think that is?

And, INTJ, means.... (that personality type).

Maybe certain personalities often LD, and I'm just unique like that for my personality perhaps?

My best guess is that something within our personality types makes us more open-minded toward such subjects as lucid dreaming. Just a thought...it would kinda make sense, though. If we're the introverts we claim to be, and chatting with others tends to irritate us, while we escape into our own minds to recharge...I can see it happening.

I find it hard to be emotionally attracted to members of the opposite sex. Every now and then, I do find someone right for me, but it always seems to get fucked up. So I bide my time with meaningless relationships and flings that don't mean anything.

I miss being of average weight. Without sounding egomaniacal, I got way more attention from girls when I was skinnier. Now I rely on my intelligence and naturally outgoing personality rather than my looks.

Sometimes I feel like I fail at everything around me. I'm horribly pessimistic. I over-analyze.

What else. Oh, I love my guitar. It's like my baby.
You do this every fucking time.
      No sweat.
      No tears.
      No guilt.
You do this every fucking time.
