is this sleep paralysis ??

last night i had a pretty weired experience. i was trying to WILD...after maybe 20 minutes something started to change....i have read from multiple forums that sleep paralysis feels like a lead blanket being put on you...this was different...it started in my legs they started to have the feeling that you get when your feet fall asleep...but more intense..at this timme my breathing started too rappidly increase...with very fast deep breaths , then my arms felt a little numb it was like a wave from my feet to my arms...after that my legs felt very light and kind of cold...is this sleep paralysis??? i never ended up becoming lucid because i had a really bad itch on my nose

As I understand it, sleep paralysis occurs while you are in REM sleep, to keep you from acting out your dreams.

It sounds like you were heading there, but the itch prevented you from getting there.

Sleep paralysis has been a subject of debate on DV lately.
