      Your very first Lucid Dream?

So a few nights ago I had my first lucid dream experience. It was so amazing!! I remember I was on the balcony of a hotel overlooking the beach at night. It was the most beautiful scene you could imagine. Standing next to me was this beautiful girl looking out at the ocean with me. We were talking I assume. Something clicked and I remembered someone telling me to try and look at your hands in a dream and you might gain control. So I did and all of a sudden I felt different. I looked at the girl and all she said was "Yes" and smiled. All I remember is stretching my hand out toward the ocean and causing a tidal wave to emerge from the horizon and come roaring towards us. Right as it hit, I woke up. Best dream I've had in a long time if not ever.

So tell me, what was ya'll's first lucid dream and how did you invoke it?

Awesome dream! I want to have one like that!

I don't specifically remember my very first lucid dream (my count reflects the ones after I discovered DV). But I think my first lucid came when I discovered a recurring false awakening nightmare I used to have as a child wasn't real. An evil force would try to pull me out of my bed and into it's world, which I think was usually housed in a tv or a digital clock. One time I was curious and let the force take me but I forget what the world was like. The first one I completely remember was one where I jumped up to fly to see how high I could go.

My very first came to me a couple of days ago and while it wasn't all that beautiful, it sure as hell felt amazing! It involved me "creating" a character and going crazy in a mmo like scene, dragging some people around by the throat.

The reason mine didn't seem all that beautiful is because i was in such a rush to experience as much as possible i believe. So i used my time running around instead of watching and feeling.

I just started getting into lucid dreaming, and while i have been trying to become lucid for the past month, the first one happened by accident while taking a nap. I woke up, closed my eyes and drifted into a dream in about 10 sec. using the DEILD technique, which i didn't know about at that time.

You could say i just stumbled upon it.

My post is still on page 1 if you want to read it.

(EDIT) I really envy the scene you are describing. ;'(

I was in the middle of a nightmare, in a house with yellow walls. I wasn't even aware of my actions or what I was saying, but I reached out and touched a wall. I heard my self say "Am I dreaming?" and everything suddenly became intensely vivid. Ripples spread out across the wall, reminiscent of the motions of a pond when you throw a stone into it. I looked at my hand and the valleys and mountains of the skin of my palms shifted and morphed in front of my eyes.
The next thing I remember was making a peanut butter and jam sandwich (I must have been hungry). I assume I lost lucidity at that point.

It was over in a matter of seconds, but it was one of the most intense experiences of my life. What's more, I had this dream on the first night I ever tried to have a lucid dream.

Wow that sounds incredibly intense! I've been trying to have a LD so that I could fly but no luck yet :[ I heard it is awesome!

That sounds like something I might try if I ever LD again! Try to experience everything I can while still lucid. Hopefully I can stumble upon another lucid dream, been trying for a month

Oh wow, I tried picturing it as I was reading and got goosebumps. Really eerie... I'm kind of scared of having a Lucid Nightmare. I don't know how I would react to that haha
