      Serious Problems With DC's

      Last Nights Lucid Dream:

i am looking in the sky and i see my friend landing a space ship in my back garden so i decide to run down the stairs to meet him, as i reach downstairs i look out the window but there is no space ship there at all, "but there must have been i just seen it land, is this a dream" i then did the nose reality check and it worked perfectly.

I decide i want to make my way towards the front door so that i can go outside, on my way to my door i am looking out the window it is night, and i can see the reflection of me and i can see one of my friends behind me in the reflection, he reaches out to touch my shoulder, but when i turn around he is not there, this makes me quite scared and paranoid, so i try to ignore it (but the thought still lingers in my head, but i am still 100% lucid), i decide i want to float out of the door and go out side but as i try this its just as if i am hitting a brick wall and it will not allow me out. Then as i turn around i see another DC walking down the stairs (the thought of what happened to me before and what has happened to me in other dreams with DC's led me to believe that this DC will be weird and maybe hostile)

but then i remember about some of the tips that i got off this website, and that i should ask the DC what he wants, so i did "hi, zack" as i say this he looks at me and continues to walk towards me and the he just starts shouting in my face which forces to manually terminate my lucidity.

These type of lucid dreams really do dampen my desire to carry on LD'ing, because their just plain scary at times, i really want to have a wonderful experience trying out all of these supernatural things and meeting people who are impossible to meet in this life, but i cant do this when things like this happen repeatedly.

Sometimes when im lucid everything is just so quiet, and when it is quiet or dark it leeds me to believe that something bad is going to happen and i start to get scared and paranoid, and the DC's are just so hostile and scary i dont see why they cant just let me be.

I would hugely appreciate if people could help me out because this is my biggest problem with LD'ing as it is keeping me from being comfortable in the lucid world which keeps me from accomplishing my personal goals. Thanks.

      Hi Josh,
When your lucid you are thinking about your dream characters in the past being hostile towards you and are expecting this, because you are expecting this your dream characters are behaving in this way. When you see a Dream character next time, don't think about hostility or anything like that, just smile at them and think " hey here's my friend" or "wow he looks really nice" you will notice a change in your DC's. You could always just fly off if your still weary of them...remember it's your dream, you control what happens! Expect everyone you meet to be there to help you, don't think anything else. You can close your eyes and imagine them gone if you want to and imagine yourself in a new surrounding forget any feelings of hostility towards you because it's hindering you, go into your dream 100% knowing that you'll be ok and they're there to help you. Happy sleeps my friend

Well it used to happen to me also, when it gets silent and isolated, so once it does next time i just start thinking of my own plans and thoughts to quickly decide what i should do on that certain time. It usually works for me to plan once things are getting odd and getting ready for it. Just occupy your thoughts. Also meditation helps.

Having any thoughts or expectations in your dream is like summoning.

If you think or have a feeling that something bad is going to happen, or that someone is a bad person, it will happen exactly the way you think it will.

And if something bad is already happening, you can just say something nice, like angie suggested. I'm a big scaredy-cat but that works for me every time. If there is a monster, just say "look at the cute bunny", if a person is turning bad, say "you are nice and I love you". And watch them turn into cute/nice. Happy dreams

Sometimes i like a little challenge in my dreams lol, dream control also takes advantage. When things are bored you would want to summon something interesting lol

Lucid Dreaming is sooooo trippy. I freakin love it! Confidence my friend. That happened to me the first time I tried focusing my will in a Lucid. Got woken by a DC that decided to try and scare me. I knew then why it happened. it happened because I thought about it. I thought to myself, rather quickly I might add, "Wouldn't it be freaky if he opened his eyes right now?" And the asshole not only opened his damn eyes suddenly, but jumped at me. I was already in his face too because I wanted to see the detail of him, so as soon as he did this I woke up.

After this I wanted to find a way to stop it from ever happening again. It was a waste of a lucid and it can happen with anything, I needed to control my thoughts better. There's no other simpler way to put it, I think. So I did that. Now when I Lucid Dream, the DCs do what I tell them to. In fact, everything does...
      I Dreamed a Dream
In it, saw people I've never seen
      Gone places I've never been
And done things I'd do again.

Instead of asking yourself that question, actually expect that it will happen, so then you won't get too scared or jilted to wake up.

Train your mental skills in meditation. You learn to stay focused on a single thought and how to prevent or suppress random thoughts. This is slightly different advice and takes lots of work, but the skills you gain eliminate this problem in LDs 98%!

Short of that, I used to baffel them with funny BS
Say the agressive guy comes out towards you. You can address him with a made up story line, before one has developed. Like this" oh freak! You got the role, you look totally thrilled. Can you get me a back stage pass, please?!!!"

The DCs i have toyed with in this manner will become easy to handle.
