The best technique is to not try at all?

I tried to get lucid in a dream for around a month, to no avail, so i gave up on it. but last night i fell asleep normally, after not thinking at all about lucid dreaming for about a week and in the middle of my dream i randomly did a reality check and became lucid. It was the most amazing thing ever, everything seemed so real and HD. I flew around my yard and kissed the girl of my dreams. The thing is though, since i used no technique, how do i get back into this amazing "dreamscape", because I really enjoyed lucidity.

Congrats to your lucid, I know, it's amazing feeling.

There is some evidence, that people trying for a while without success, get a lucid the moment they stop trying.

But, that's not because they are not doing anything. It's because, they stopped trying too hard. You see, trying too hard is not good. Wishing is not good. What's good is to know, to have an intent, that you will lucid dream. Without pushing it too hard. The difference is like between "I wish to go to the moon so badly" and "I'm going to work in the morning". One is a wish, the other one is a fact.

And all that practice people do before they take a break, together with not trying so hard is what gives you a lucid. So it would help to switch your mentality from wishing and pushing it too hard to that, meh, I'm having a lucid tonigt.
