Question LD so long, I had to wake myself up--out of fear of over sleeping/boredom... ever happen to anyone??

I've been evolving more and more as a LDer over the past two years, or so, since my first one (the same night I heard about LDing for the first time), some time very early January, 2012. Since then, I have had over 300 LDs. Much much more if you count ones I don't remember (never did). There has actually been times where I will remember that I had a LD--mid day--because something reminded me of the LD.

Since I've started LDing, I've had LDs that have lasted nearly 2 days (dreamtime)... regular dreams that have lasted over two weeks... dreams inside the 2 week dreams, in which I wake up back in the old dream, as it continues (even a dream inside the dream inside the dream--all of which taking me back to the original... Inception shit). I've experienced pleasure not possible in WL... I've grown emotionally, all thanks to LDs (and some regular dreams). I've had rather deep conversations with dreamcharacters (about dreams, as well as other things, no less)... I've overcome phobias... learned things... experienced colors, emotions, dimensions, etc, that don't even exist in WL. I've done this, that, and the other thing; but NEVER have I had what I'm about to explain happen...

The other day, I had a LD so long (roughly a week), that I had to wake myself up. I said; "I hope I'm not oversleeping... I've got some shit to do today." This was in combination with the fact that I had done as much stuff as I had wanted to, and was honestly getting bored inside the dream (simply by knowing it isn't WL). This was very odd, and has never happened before.

Has this happened to anyone else? I know that most people don't have dreams (especially LDs) this long... and some don't believe it's possible... but I mean; has anyone ever purposely woke themselves up in a LD??? I didn't think this could happen. I've always enjoyed LDs so much, lol. So; ever happen? Take the poll! Talk.

i heard of people having 2 year long dreams and even a lifetime long dream
could you imagine that? being in a dream for 2 years and waking up to find its only been 3 hours? I'd trip.

Recently I had a vivid long (which for me means like 30-40 minutes) multi-scene dream bordering on lucidity At the end I thought "this dream has been going on for such a long time, I just want some restful sleep". After that I wandered around a bit lucidly, found a girl, and woke up while trying to stay close to her and contain my excitement. So I didn't wake myself up on purpose while lucid, but I had the thought as I became lucid that I had been dreaming "long enough."

Not as much as boredom... but fear of not being able to recall entirely.

I especially remember once, that I chained three dreams in a row, completing two ToTMs and one ToTY... in addition of a few personal goals... and then, still be in a very vivid dream and within the dream, recalling everything done so far and waking myself up to write all down.

Yeah - for being able to recall everything, and I aborted my very first one, since I had learned it on the basis of Castaneda superstitions, and was afraid not to find my body back, and being trapped in "another plane of existence" or some such crap. It was hyper-realistic - so it was easy to believe.

Doing it for recall is like normal waking up from a dream - but doing it in panic, throwing all my willpower at it - I ended up still in sleep paralysis (SP). One of the most scary experiences of my life, and I had some opportunities to fear for my life irl, too. Even without hallus - I thought, I would have to die by not being able to reunite. That's what comes from superstition and flawed information. If I had known about it - I would have just started varying my breathing rate or wiggling a finger instead of trying to move the whole body, and wait until it's over. But I thought, my soul can't get back in. That whole affair kept me from lucid dreaming for nearly 10 years, until I finally came across the phenomenon again, meanwhile being properly demystified in my thinking, and able to enjoy it!

      Edit:
Just to make that crystal-clear - there is nothing to be feared in SP - it is a normal phenomenon, also called REM-Atonia, something to prevent you from acting out your dreams and thrashing about in bed.
What made it scary for me was just my ignorance of what it was.
If it happens when wanting to enter a WILD - be happy about it - people say it is not often perceived - but if you do, you know, you are dreaming already, and can go ahead with it - get out of your dream bed and enjoy.
When it comes with waking up - relax and try to break it with the above tips.
