   If you want to increase your awareness in general, try meditation. As for trying to DILD, just do reality checks and live your life like it is a dream, that way, lucid dreaming will be on your mind....

   Well the only real "problem" is impatience. The thing is, DILDs are probably the least reliable lucids. Even after tons of experience with DILDs, you won't necessarily be really aware in your dreams...

    Dream signals don't do anything in terms of awareness. You have to be aware in general, and always be skeptical as to whether or not you could be dreaming. After all, you could be dreaming right now...
