      The DEILD Project - 90 Day

      Greetings.
      The 90 Day WILD project is a very popular project. However, I know a lot of people have problems WILDing, and it is a very difficult task.

      I myself do enjoy WILDing, but I think a DEILD has a higher chance of success, and is a ton easier to do.

      For those of you who aren't familiar with the 90 day project, you post your results in this thread every day for 90 days..

      Day 1:

      My alarm woke me at 3:30, and I waited a minute for it to turn off. I layed still the entire time and I started to feel numb. However, I hear a crash outside, and I open my window. Somehow, and for some reason, my neighbors car was stolen, and when he came out he slammed the door and it made me jump.

      I'm currently doing a 90-Day project of my own (see sig!), but if it flops, I will join you on this quest!

      I actually *am* intermixing DEILD into my current project, because some days I'm too tired to do a WBTB/MILD, or there aren't enough hours to sleep I could post those results here, if you'd like, even though it wouldn't be under 90 days

      I think i got really lucky, and i mean really lucky. First night, had an LD, woke up, did a successful DEILD, woke up about 1 minute later, and did yet another successful DEILD. I'll bet that this doesn't happen for another few weeks though, if ever.

      I am currently abandoning my original 90 Day project in favour of this... Reason being... my project was causing me to lose sleep (with WBTB's) a little bit too much, and just thinking about it in general was starting to wear me out. I have successfully DEILD'ed before, so I think now that I have found a balance between recall and DEILD (and maintaining both), I can start attempting this method again.

      Day 1 – May 30, 2010

      Success?
      No.
      What happened?
      I didn’t wake up, really. Garrett came into bed at some point when I was sleeping and it kind of woke me up, but not enough to try and chain back into a dream. The cuddling did though, lol. Sort of.

      No.
      What happened?
      I didn't set an alarm, for one thing (wanted the sleep). And for 2, I woke up around 9am because the BF's stereo alarm clock went off. Nothing kills a DEILD faster than being lulled awake by the steady stream of loud country music. I don't even know what I was dreaming about for the previous 9 hours. I am going to sabotage that alarm tonight!

      DAY 1 : Didn't remeber to wake up.
      DAY 2 : Woke-up but just drifted of to a normal dream

      I need a simpler method..
      Plz if anyone could suggest me a DEILD method that worked for you.

      Kinda sorta.
      What happened?
      I had a lucid HI that I chained into. It didn't last very long and it was definitely only an HI. Didn't feel all stable like a dream. I did manage to chain back into a real dream, later on from that, but it I forgot to remind myself that it was a dream, so while the chain was good, it wasn't lucid. One problem I found out of today was... the periods between waking up and falling back to sleep were very long (for a DEILD.... it really shouldn't be more than 30 seconds to a minute... this was taking a few minutes). I wasn't intending on making notes when I woke up each time. I intended to recall the dream, yes, so I could chain back into it... but I just hovered in recall and didn't fall back to sleep, so I gave up, texted notes and passed out.

      I use a mantra suggestion to wake up after each dream. Usually works for me, and I end up waking up a few times during the night. For the DEILD itself, I try to focus on something about the dream... usually what the exact last scene was that I just woke up from. As I'm thinking about it, falling back to sleep, I keep a reminder in the back of my head that this was a dream I just woke up from.

      I've only DEILD'ed a few times, but that's how I've done it before that's worked for me.
