      Lightbulb Unlocking old memories..

      Hi Guys,

This is my first post on this forum. Although I've been into Lucid Dreaming for quite a few years now. I actually made the account because I've been thinking of an interesting experiment and was wondering if you guys could help me with it. Possibly with feedback, if you think it's interesting or not, or any insight. Not sure if it's been done before but I haven't come across it yet.

So getting to the experiment. Considering the mind is very powerful and can store quite a lot of data. I was wondering if we are able to "dig" into our minds (in dreams) to remember things we thought we have completely forgotten. For instance, we've all learned about the founding fathers and the first 4 presidents but sadly I can only remember the first. I know its in there somewhere but I can't pull it out. So for the experiment I was thinking this:

During your next lucid dream try to remember one of these two things which we all knew at one point in time:
      • What was the name of Simba's girlfriend in the Lion King?
      • What color was the pendent that Rose throw in the ocean in the end of Titanic?

This is not the actual experiment but I wanted to get feedback on what you guys think and what might be some good alternative questions. And more importantly, whether this is a good idea overall or not.

      Thanks guys

      It's interesting!
And i think it's possible to find old memories because i think our subconscious/inconscious stocks everything (and really everything) that happened in our life (and even in past lives!).

In my LD I sometimes find myself in places that I have been before, no real places, but places that I have visited in previous dreams. When the dream is not lucid, must of the time when I remember something than happened in the past is just fake memories.

Never seen The Lion King, probably never will.
      What's Titanic?

Sounds like a good idea to me. It is something I am quite interested in where I would like to try myself.

      Ummm... oops?
Try to imagine a life without timekeeping. You probably can’t. You know the month, the year, the day of the week; you have a schedule, a calendar... Yet all around you, timekeeping is ignored. Birds are not late. A dog does not check its watch. Deer do not fret over passing birthdays. Man alone measures time. Man alone chimes the hour. And, because of this, man alone suffers a paralyzing fear that no other creature endures.
A fear of time running out.

They're only the two most popular movies of all time

You should definitely try to watch them some time. I'm glad you guys are interested. I have been meaning to give this a try but Lucid Dreaming is still new to me and every time I have a LD I get carried away with flying. I have spoken to people with very mixed results.

Has anyone else been able to give this a try?
