Argue Something Ridiculous

Pretty simple. Choose a topic and argue with someone about something completely ridiculous. You can't break character and you have to argue with reason like you're in a fight and your life depended on it. Use stats, charts, graphs, facts etc. whatever. Say things that sound believable. You can falsify things, just make it believable. Why? It's my opinion that people are willing to follow any idiot with a microphone as long as s/he has charm and conveys the bullshit in an intelligent light. (See: Scientology) Not only that, but their own convictions about the bullshit are what people buy into, not just the bullshit.. but sometimes people buy into a persons absolute belief in something just because they absolutely believe in it. Post the topic that you want to argue and you can choose the pro or con side while waiting for others to engage you in the argument. Then the debate commences. Example topics: Why bubblegum causes cancer How cancerous cells have been shown to extend penis size Why the earth actually IS flat Why the state of "being bored", is an early sign of dementia How watching extensive periods of television strengthens the body's muscles Why Obama is secretly a woman Why humans have a vestigial third eye How tanning beds serve as skin cell rejuvenators So go for it. Religion has been exhausted in this forum and R/S so let's stick to something outside the lines of religion. Something irrefutably ridiculous by the general public.
