Goku vs. Superman -> Who'd Win?

I liked the Hulk vs Juggernaut one better....it had less apples to oranges in it. Anyway, it would be a tough match either way. I would probably cheer for Goku though. Superman has always been too strong, too fast, too blah blah blah untill he died. Goku on the other hand has trained and worked on all of his skills....I respect that. Yeah...in the later series he got waaay too powerful also, but it wasn't like he was spoon fed powers.

With that said....I think supes would take him out the first go round...but later on Goku would adapt. Yes, adapability...it's the reason why Jakie Chan would be a match for Jet Li IF they were in a warehouse full of stuff.

Based on the fact that Superman is both classic and kick-ass simultaneously, and Goku is just a spiky-haired animu fucknut...what do you think my answer is?

And at least Superman doesn't spend fifteen episodes charging up one attack.

Sorry. Goku is a ridiculously over-powered character and i just don't see anyone beating him. Actually, everyone in the dragon ball universe is pretty messed up. I mean.. if frieza or whatever could destroy earth with one death beam what would SSJ4 goku do with his most powerful move?? <---- think about that for a sec.....

Seeing as how that multi-episode charging has only happened maybe once or twice in Goku's life (the only one I can think of now, was his Spirit Bomb against Frieza, which was 2 or three episodes and, in real-time, was like 10 mins worth of charging while Piccolo fought), I think you're being a bit dramatic.

[Edit: And, of course, Goku is a smart-enough fighter to know when to use an attack like that.]

"Ridiculously over-powered" is a relative statement. How is he 'ridiculously over-powered' when, as you admit, everyone in the DBZ universe is ridiculously over-powered. Goku's power-level is right, relative to the other characters in his universe. Some coud say Superman is ridiculously over-powered, but that is because he's being compared to the weaker creatures in his universe, or in other fictional universes.

I'd like to say that i have almost all the DBZ game released for the playstation and think goku is the bomb, but i think superman would win. because 1 Goku does not use magic he uses energy known as ki chi chakra w.e too many animes with the same thing. so that would not have the affect that magic would on superman, and remember superman is extremely overrated, and can fly into space where goku cannot and even if goku destroyed the planet superman would survive, as for kryptonite goku wouldn't use it even if he knew about it, he believes to much in a fair fight. so i think that if goku maybe went into the higher forms of ss (3,4) that he could possibly win, fusion would be a sure victory, but i just think that unless he did that superman would win, and in a special comic superman fought hulk and lost, but i just think superman would most likely win

well to be perfectly fair, super man can blow out a star like a candle and probably would do still considerable damage to a planet. I think the first think Superman would try would be giving Goku a haircut.

To be honest I don't know much about dragon ball of any kind. But I do know that, even in the presence of kryptonite, super man almost never lost. And plus, super man died at least FIVE TIMES!! So obviously he can come back to life, making him a completely formidable foe. I think that the sheer fact that super man can do anything. that's the point of the word "super" in his name.

But come to think of it, I'm pretty sure I've seen a show where a guy on DBZ came back to life. DAMMIT! I truly don't know.

Moving on. Goku was definitely overpowered, but I still doubt he could kill Superman.

So many people are whining about Goku being "over-powered", when he's not even the strongest/most-durable being in his universe. As far pure strength goes, Superman can be argued as being just as over-powered. It's all relative.

So...what is it that makes Goku "over-powered", exactly?

I like this post and agree with it 100%.

Anyway, I reckon Goku would beat Superman. Saying Goku is overpowered is just a way to excuse Superman for being weaker when comparing just the two. But in the end, I'd pwn them both cause they're both in lala land and I'm real. Beat that virtual justice loving freaks.
