My username is Memento Mori :

Memento mori is a Latin phrase translated as "Remember you must die" (and the origin of the English word memento, which appeared as memento mori, "remembrance of death"[1]). It names a genre of artistic creations that vary widely from one another, but which all share the same purpose: to remind people of their own mortality and the punishment they will receive if they transgress the rules of their religion.

The phrase has a tradition in art that dates back to antiquity.

as i do not have a "religion" it serves me as a reminder to not waste my gift of life by not taking in every second of it and living each of those seconds to their fullest. It is also the largest tattoo i have on my body, located length wise on my left forearm at the bottom side. It's there every time i do anything and i often notice and produce an "Oh yeah, lets step back and think" thought in my head. It also helped to convince me that Lucid Dreaming is the only way to "Fully" live my life, as that i do not let the hours of sleep go unnoticed and unfulfilled.

Eternalstar is a play on a Sailor Moon reference.

Sailor Moon gets a few power-ups of the course of the series. In the last season, her name is Eternal Sailor Moon.

I didn't really like the way Eternalmoon sounded, but I wanted something space referenced, so I picked Star. Coincidentally, the last season of Sailor Moon is called "Sailor Stars"

There's a bit of a story behind mine.

My username on a stopmotion animation board is Strider (stopmo is my thing... I animated my avatar pic and am working on bringing life to the little dudes in my sig pic). I came up with that name BEFORE the Peter Jackson LoTR trilogy came out... I was NOT a fanboy, it was a reference to the BOOK... a mysterious wanderer who turns out to be a king in disguise.

On that message board I developed a reputation for being helpful and friendly... not really the dark mysterious persona I wanted to have as a filmmaker/animator, so when I started my website I came up with Darkstrider. Came up with it in a hurry because I needed a name for the site, and later wished I had thought about it more... because putting Dark in front of anything marks you a comic book geek (re Dark Phoenix).

But it does fit me for this reason.. I love to take long walks at night (darkstriding). I find it an ideal way to think... rather than sitting in between the computer and the TV and the phone... no distractions, and walking allows me to concentrate much better than driving or riding my mountain bike, which require too much attention. I come up with story ideas as I walk. It's a form of meditation.

Ok, fast forward a couple years.... I started my blog and put more thought into a new name. DarkMatters. I love the idea of dark matter.... it's invisible, but an integral and important part of the cosmos (according to the theory anyway) - in fact it's what holds the cosmos TOGETHER. so it represents the mysterious... the unknown. The unconscious. The Jungian Shadow.

It also plays off of Grey Matter (brain matter)... only it's darker.

Ahahahaha, my name came from this series too. In 7th grade my friend and I were obsessed with Warriors, so we decided to come up with warrior names for ourselves. I chose the name Hiddenstream, "hidden" because I thought it fit me and "stream" because I thought it sounded good with hidden. Hiddenstream's a bit of a mouthful, though, so it got shortened to Hidden.

I dunno. It can mean many things.

It may be that I See You, or that the Eye ( I ) Sees You.

But I'm still convinced that it's simply I See You.

My original, TheLucid, was simply an unoriginal name that came to me.
Then I changed it to Jesus of Suburbia because
1.) I like to claim that I am the Jesus of Suburbia.
2.) I absolutely love Green Day.
3.) TheLucid was too unoriginal for this forum.
and 4.) It's pretty badass.

I also, however, use TFIIB.
This is the company I run. TFIIB is not, in fact, an acronym. It used to be, but I thought it sounded too gay and now have forgotten what it originally meant o.o
