      Terrible rythm

Hey everyone! I made this thread because I need some serious help... my rythm has been terrible lately. I quit college because the study didn't suit, so I'm going to follow a physics course starting april the 8th and then do a physics study next year. So I have free time on my hands, but the thing is I can't get a job right now. It's too hard where I live and I'm trying all the time but no one's replying *sigh*. So now I end up going to bed around 3am every night and waking up at around 12-1pm.

I have a feeling it's fucking me up severely... excuse my language. Would anyone please give me some tips on how I can fix this? I've tried going to bed early but I just lay still for 2 hours.

This happens to me, if I'm just being lazy around house, doing nothing physically or mentally draining. So I don't get sleepy by decent time, go to bed late, wake up late, and the vicious circle continues.

Engage in some activity during day. Go for a long walk, or anything, that will make you tired. Try to push your bed time forward little by little.

Or, get up in the morning in normal time, even if you sleepy from not enough sleep. It may be easier to go to sleep in normal time this way.

It's also possible, that you have lots of stuff on your mind that keeps you awake. Until you make peace with your situation, you may have problem falling asleep. good luck

Thanks gab! Well simply going to bed earlier will just leave me lying awake for hours. And I don't really have a purpose atm, so no motivation to get up earlier. I'm kind of stuck here. I feel sooo incredibly tired in the morning.

You can reset your internal clock two ways. One is by exposing your body to sunshine, making you sleep at night. The other is the food clock. You can reboot your internal clock (and bypass the "sunshine" clock) by resetting your food clock.

Choose what time of day you want to wake up. for example, 6 am would be mine because I'm an early bird. your supposed to fast (that means go without eating) for 12-16 hours before you intend on waking up. so, I would stop eating at 2-6 pm the previous day, set my alarm clock for 6 am, and as soon as I wake up at 6 am eat a full meal. This full meal tells your body "this is wake up time". Within a couple of days you won't need the alarm clock. Your body wakes up at 6 am, expecting to be fed.

That sounds like something that would do well for me. It's gonna be hard stuffing food. Food also plays a big part indeed, a fact I hadn't considered myself.

Too bad I already ate an hour ago, which was about 10pm.

      Anyhow, thanks birdy!
