      Music While Attempting to WILD?

Maybe some Pink Floyd? A lot of their music I find really soothing and fall asleep to it often. If I listen to it while trying to WILD, it would relax me, plus I could concentrate on the lyrics to keep my mind awake....right?

Or do I have it totally wrong? Will this hurt my WILD success chances?

      - Haven't yet had a successful WILD after months of trying.

It doesn't hurt to try. The music might end up in your dream though, which can be SUPER annoying, depending on how the dream distorts it.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

One of my very few WILD's that didn't involve waking up from sleep first involved having trance music playing in the background. I actually saw hypnagogic images and could feel my dream body floating around in blackness WHILE I was listening to this song....

...so much so that upon awakening I googled the lyrics and found the song.

So yes, Floyd is a good choice too, but ya gotta choose your tracks wisely.

Tracks like, "On the Run" were MEANT to help induce altered states of consciousness, but they're simply a digital form of a drug... a tool that you shouldn't rely on forever, because in the end anything will limit you.

Think of certain types of music like training wheels on a bike. A great start, but you can only get so far using it before you have to take them off and do the rest on your own.

      Good luck!
