      Dreaming about WILDing

A couple days ago in my dream i succeeded in WILDing; during the WILD i knew i was dreaming so i went around messing with people and when i "woke up" i woke up in the dream and then after a while i woke up for real. I'm not sure if that counts, but i also wanted your opinions if that is a signal I'm on the right track or if dreaming about LDing techniques are really only significant for more DILD techniques. Anyways i thought this was kind of interesting, having a wild inside a dream.

I haven't done that before, but I had a dream once that I went to a "WILDing camp"

This was technically a DILD, but having lucid dreaming on your mind is always helpful, regardless of technique.

I have had 2 dreams where I lay down to WILD, get to sp, and become lucid. It's a great time

      Funny coincidence.
Had a dream earlier last week, where I started off with a lucid in some dark bunker, where I had a false awakening after a few seconds. I thought I was still awake, so I got the thought "maybe if I lie still, I will go into SP". So I was still, staring at a spot on my blanket. Then that spot started flickering into scribbles of eyes. It kept doing this and some other scribbles for a while, before I then woke up.

There's no such thing as embedded dreams, there's only sequential dreams with the delusion of being embedded.

..well, "dream within a dream" then. I was trying hard not to quote Inception (or mention it at all)

There's no such thing as a "dream within a dream". That's what I was trying to say. There's only the illusion of a dream within a dream. All dreams do, in fact, happen one after another.

Or are one and the same.

It depends if you consider a drastic change in the dreamscape an entirely new dream or not. Either way, going to sleep in a dream does not at all mean having a FA will leave you where you left off when you first went to bed, since technically all sleeping or WILDing does in-dream is change the scenery.

Still a cool thing to dream about, though.

Technically you simply dreamed about having a dream.

I suppose you could call it a "dream within a dream" in the same sense that you can say "I was fishing within a dream" or "I was flying within a dream"..

Yea pretty much what most of the people here are saying is right, You did not have a dream within a dream, you merely had a dream in which you went to sleep and entered another dream by will, and pon waking from that you had a false awakening into another dream of yourself lying in the same bedroom you started off in. Yes it does count as a lucid dream because you knew that you were dreaming, and yes the exact same thing also happened to me, in a dream I lay down to WILD and the transition to a new dream started within 2 seconds of me closing my eyes in the dream.
