flotation tank for wild or obe?

could you use a flotation tank to have a wild or obe?
has anyone done this? how effective is it?
from what i have heard it relaxes you, clears your mind and helps you forget about your body. this sounds to me like it would help with wilds and obes.

for those of you who do not know what a flotation tank is, it is a tank that blocks out all your senses. it blocks out all light, sound and smell. and you float in water that is the same temperature as your body so you dont feel it and it has lots of salt in it so you float. it is also called a sensory deprevation tank.

is that the same thing as an isolation tank?
The idea is to remain in a constant state of departure while always arriving..

Hmm, I bet it could possibly be useful.

But I can't imagine waking up 10 hours later all pruned up.

In fact, I wouldn't even try it because I've seen one too many bloated dead bodies in a bathtub.

We currently run a floatation center in Virginia and yes you could have an OBE as we have had a more then a few people come in and experience it (although it will probably take a few floats to reach the desired experience). You definitely will not feel your body or the water after a few min of being in the tank. Also you do not prune up in a float tank since the Epsom salts are absorbed in the skin. You come out all silky smooth. Floating is an amazing experience.

Isolation tanks definitely help with OBEs. Just to clarify, the tanks only completely eliminate the sense of sight, it's the darkest dark you would likely have ever seen. Smell remains intact, sound is limited to your own breathing and heartbeat, feeling is suppressed by the body temp water, and taste is irrelevant. Basically it puts you into a meditative state without the mental discipline it takes to reach the same state without the tank. You wouldn't remain in the tank for 10 hours either, typically an hour does the trick (and one hour time slots are what most float locations offer). Having so many senses suppressed automatically enhances the likelihood of an OBE because you are getting rid of most distractions. The first time isn't likely because you are too occupied with thinking about yourself in the tank, but the more you try it, the deeper you'll be able to go
