Hit in the head while attempting WILD?

So I decided to try WILD the other morning. I had been awake for 1 hour in the morning, then went back to bed. I laid on my back, did some slowed breathing but nothing happened, except for some annoying itches, which i successfully ignored. I laid there for about an hour, nothing was happening so I decided to roll over on my side. I felt my body immediately get more relaxed and knew I could fall asleep more easily. I tried to stay aware but let myself go in and out of sleep.

Finally, I saw swirling dots, I got the spins, the room felt darker, my hearing changed and i could hear what sounded like all the doors in my house keep opening and closing. I was a little scared. I think I concentrated too much on it and I came out of it.

I tried it again...I got the spins again. It felt like I was on a rollercoaster, like I was in warp speed. My eyes were moving all over. It was like I was observing all this from inside my body. It was weird. Then all the sudden I felt like someone hit me on the head hard! It made me jump and it made me come out of it and I was awake. I was home alone and my head didn't hurt so no one really could've hit me.

This was really the first time I had experienced something like this. I didn't know what to do while I was in this state. Do I just continue to observe but not concentrate on any of it? Was all this just classic hypnogogic sound and imagery? Was I on my way to sleep paralysis? If I had continued to passively observe would a dream have formed soon after? What should I do next time I get in this state? And one last question....Has anyone else felt like they got hit on the head like this?

you might have been in sleep paralysis where hypnogogic sounds (or whatever they're called) happen. Sometimes when i'm in SP I feel like someones grabbing my legs or something. Once it felt like someone was giving my ass a massage haha. But ya I just ignore it, and remain as still and calm as possible until it goes away. Then I open my eyes and im dreaming

I can see you sleep through your bedroom window. You're killing yourself with lucid dreaming.

Hmm interesting. Cool...so once I keep calm through all that HH, it should stop? And thats when the dream should form? When you say you open your eyes, I'm assuming you mean your dream body's eyes? So basically HH indicates SP? Once HH goes away, thats when the dream forms?

I know this feeling... probably part of hypnagogic imagery, since you weren't in paralysis yet.

I have feelings like this sometimes too... like i suddenly feel like i'm falling and i jump up in my bed then it just stops... or i feel like i slipped on something and move my hands by reflex... It happens more often to me when i'm sick... weird :p
      I realize that i'm dreaming.

yes I mean my dream eyes when I open my eyes. Its weird, after SP goes away, you can feel your body again but its your dream body, so just do reality checks after SP goes away.
