Generally speaking, it is much harder. I have done it before, but it was on complete accident and I hadn't slept much the night before (which may have amplified my chances). If you don't want to WILD after 4-6 hours of sleep, I suggest WILDing during day time naps...usually 1-6 hours after waking in the morning. Personally, naps are my favorite time to WILD. WILDing upon going to sleep at night is not recommended, though it is possible. Hope this helped a bit.

Pretty much hit it on the head of the nail. I've had several successful WILDs going to straight to bed, but they were almost in every case due to the fact I stayed up SUPER late the previous night(s)... it has to do with something called "REM-Rebound"...

Yes but it's insanely hard. And the lucids it produces.... Suck.

Yeah I forgot to mention that the lucid I had this way felt very different from my others. Seemed to be less of that "real" feeling. Not very stable either, but I did manage to stabilize it. Didn't last very long either.

Sometimes, near night (usually a few hours before I'm 'supposed' to sleep) I get very tired and feel like I could sleep. I think during these times, I don't know about WILDing, but it's much easier for me to fall asleep, even though I'm usually alert, than it is at bedtime. That happened today and I tried to WILD. I've never succeeded though... I don't think. I'd still appreciate if an experienced WILDer would reply to the post I made a couple hours ago.

yes its possible, but like before mentioned.. much more difficult.. i have done it. i was deep in meditation (i always meditate before and after sleep), and somehow just entered a dream after some time. it was really strange because i didn't know about WILD before it happened.

what do you mean, it had less of that real feeling? my first two lucids felt different from eachother, in my first one, I was only semi lucid but I could literaly feel that something was different about it but my second one which was a NILD (nightmare induced lucid dream) felt less real but it seemed like I was in a higher layer of lucidity. I haven't had enough lucid dreams to really get a good understanding of the feel so I'm wondering if what you mean has any relation to my experience cause I still don't think I had a TRUE lucid dream yet.
