Talking how bad is sleep paralysis?

ive been wanting to try wild lately but the only thing that's stopping me is sleep paralysis. Im not 100% scared of it but i am to the point of hesitating to do so. What are your experiences with it? Is it really scary? any motivational tips? 1 final question i was wondering, if you happen to have a terryifying hallucination if you close your eyes do you still see it?

No, if you close your eyes you do not see it. I had SP a couple days before I found out what it was, and I saw something crawling out from under my bed. It was a demon, and I closed my eyes. Nothing happened to me. I felt nothing, didn't see anything, just the blackness of my eyes. After about 30 seconds I could move again. When you're doing WILD, SP can actually be a positive thing, like you can receive pleasure from it if you go at it with the right attitude, like "I am in sleep paralysis, and I will smell apples." (Or something along those lines) you will probably smell apples. If you know what SP is and you know how to tell when your experiencing it, it is not bad at all. When you are doing WILD, you could actually enjoy it.

One can and people routinely do experience WILD without experiencing SP, and conversely one can experience SP without ever trying to WILD. Normally, a person will not notice sleep paralysis because sleep paralysis is when the timing is off when you begin to be paralyzed while you are still awake or you stay paralyzed after waking up, whereas for most people most times sleep paralysis sets in as you fall asleep and you do not notice your sleeping body's paralysis even though your body is always paralyzed while you are asleep, but you are asleep and not aware of the state of your physical body. While WILD is falling asleep aware, in most cases for most people that timing will still be such that you will not notice your body being paralyzed. Yes, you will see hypnagogic images, but those do not need to be scary at all, do not have to be demons, and most likely they won't be scary unless you expect them to be scary, so don't do that! I have read the wise suggestion that one should not attempt to WILD if one is in a mood that makes nightmarish images more likely, and that sounds like good advice to me.

Well. There is a type of WILD that involves SP, but as far as I can see, the rate of success is low. Check out this wild guide:
      http://www.dreamviews.com/wake-initi...ild-guide.html

It gives some great insight on WILDing.

And on to your original question. Not really. I had it once and it was everything I feared, but as soon as it happened I thought it was funny because I had been afraid of something lame like that. I have had FA strings which were far scarier. every time you think you are finally out of that nightmare you realize your bed is messed up and that you haven't escaped yet. Mwuhahaha! Haha. I actually love nightmares, and I think I am the only person that harbors any fear towards FAs, all dream fears are very unreasonable. I keep mine for fun.

You don't need SP in order to WILD, in fact, it's impossible to experience it intentionally. SP experiences are pretty rare, many don't experience it ever and for the most who experiences it, it only happens like once or twice through lifetime, unless they have sleep disorder. Read through this thread for more information on that: http://www.dreamviews.com/wake-initi...explained.html
SP is not a goal of WILD, a goal of WILD is to fall asleep while being aware, i highly suggest you to check out this in-depth tutorial: WILD

Majority of my lucids are WILD and I've never had a scary experience. You just need to approach it in a positive way, and keep your eyes closed. I just embrace the sensations and let myself slip into the dream. Personally, I hear lots of weird sounds, almost like I'm under water. Sometimes I hear sounds pots & pans hitting the floor downstairs, and sometimes I even hear choirs singing. To be honest, I'm pretty sure majority of my WILDs I dont even enter SP because if I have an annoying itch, I'll scratch it and have a lucid like 2 minutes later. I don't care though because I still get my WILD either way
