      some questions

Hey, i would like some advice

so i am a beginner and i only had 1 lucid dream -by accident (not very vivid)
I am doing some rc's almost every hour, but it's been only 1-2 days so i wasn't expecting miracles (=trying Dild/Mild)

an hour ago i was wondering if could try some WILD technique, so after reading the article a lot of times a lied on my bed and started the process (take a nap)
my "problem" after I fully relaxed i felt some shaking in my body, my heart beat went up and i was waiting to get in a dream
but it wasn't coming, i waited and the same thing again happened: a lot of shaking and high heart beat (don't know if it was real or in my mind)

      my question is:
      that's normal right?
i think i didn't have a dream cause i didn't have one but should i stick to it and try it in 10-12 hours? (after 5-6 hours of sleep)
or forget all about WILD and "practise" only daily rc's and hopefully i will get my lucid through MILD?

Hi Newcomer17 and welcome to Dreamviews!

Not an expert but I just wanted to help guide you in the WILD direction. Here is a start:

      1. DV Academy WILD class taught by Sagous. CLICK THIS LINK: WILD. Sageous will answer all of your questions regarding WILD. You should really not pay attention to any noise or shaking and the rapid heart beat thing. This is just part of the process and (from what I have read and according to the facilitators) this all should be ignored.

      2. Basic WILD tutorial for beginners. CLICK THIS LINK: WILD Tutorial - Lucid Dreaming - Dream Views. You can find plenty of information regarding WILD here in the tutorial sections.

      3. A forum designed for WILD discussions CLICK THIS LINK: Wake Initiated Lucid Dreams (WILD).

      4. Wake Back to Bed Tutorial. CLICK THIS LINK: WBTB Tutorial - Lucid Dreaming - Dream Views. This should give you some kind of idea regarding how much sleep you should get before you try your attempts to become lucid.

      5. If you are really new at lucid dreaming you may want to practice frequent reality check. This is helpful with daytime awareness. Also document any dreams you remember from the night before in a dream journal. This will help you dream recall. CLICK THIS LINK: Reality Check Tutorial - Lucid Dreaming - Dream Views

      6. Be patient. This takes practice. Saturate your mind with the literature on lucid dreaming and learn how to calm your mind. You will find your rhythm but it takes patience and practice. Most importantly, you must BELIEVE.

Hope this helps and happy lucid dreaming.

thanks a alot i appreciate that
i have a last question: i 've seen a lot of threads about other things except lucid dream (or wild??)

like "astral" etc is there anychance not to lucid dream but something else?
not that i am afraid, but is there any change to misunderstand and while thinking i am having lucid dreams to actually doing something else?

Astral Projection (AP) and Out-of-Body Experiences (OBEs) are topics confined to our Beyond Dreaming forum. The main difference between them and lucid dreams is that lucid dreams are scientifically proven, while it's mostly impossible to prove or disprove the existence of AP and OBEs. For some, they are just more detailed lucid dreams, but for others they are spiritual experiences of enlightenment.

I'm not going to stand here and tell you whether they do or don't exist (frankly because I don't know myself). I will tell you however that if you're not specifically trying for them, it's incredibly unlikely that you'll experience one while trying to lucid dream.

thanks, that's good, I am not interested either
well after trying again my only problem to achieve lucid dream while wild is:

after i relax and the vibrations are gone, i can't enter a dream, i just still feel my body in the bed relaxed, but nothing else
      only black
if my mind relaxes too much i will fall asleep
