Thread: Gemstones and Crystals

I have a bunch of gemstones and crystals that were given to me but haven't done much with it. Only one in particular I have used and it has definitely proven to me to contain its own power. I used an amethyst. From all the stuff I have it's the one that I liked from the begining so I thought I'd try t out. I placed it on my forehead at the third eye and used a hat or bandana to keep it there whilst I was doing some coursework to see if it helped at all with focus, concentration. The first time I left it there until it became uncomfortable which was a good 20 minutes where I actually focused on my work pretty well. But the surpring part which was not a part of my intention to begin with was that I had a really long (30min +/-) and vivid lucid dream that night. So I thought that was interesting and after a few days I tried it again. I had another longish (10min +/-) and vivid lucid dream. I thrn decided my next experience would be to actually sleep with the stone under my pillow. This produced a weird kind of effect, but definitely dofferent from my usual kind of dreams. It felt like I was conscious throughout the whole night but still didn't really become completely lucid in my dreams. It seemed also there the number of dreams I had far much greater than the amount I normaly percieve. The dreams were all pretty vivid too. I tried this another time with similar effects and again with placing it on my forehead and it seems to have just affected how vivid my dreams were.

So yeah, I don't doubt that they can be effective, but I'm sure expectation can play a big part with its effectiveness.

I weared Jadeite for years (24h every day), when I was younger I liked that stone. Nowadays I don't wear any stone and there is no difference.
If you believe it can help. But I think, it would help even if that is simple piece of glass, if you would think that that is helping stone.

For me, a hand-held crystal has appeared in dream a few times, and represents something having to do with personal psychic power. The idea that the actual rock has magical properties always seemed silly to me though. And I could never sense anything from actual crystals. Maybe I'm just ignorant about it, but its just a rock.

I've collected quite a few crystals over the years with my favorite being these 2:

A large quartz and an aqua aura pendant.

Both I believe are powerful crystals the large quartz makes me more alert and difficult to sleep with closeby, the aqua aura amplifies the throat chakra and empowers my voice.

I've meditated a few times using a different crystal for each chakra, I particularly like the feel of hematite which is a great grounding stone it feels very heavy for such a small crystal.

One of my other favorites is black onyx as it can be worn for psychic protection.

I've recently developed an interest in crystals. And my favorite gem is also amethyst. Though I like to wear a cobalt blue agate gem most of the time. I think that's what it was called anyway. Personally, I don't think that it's the stones themselves that are special, but the power we transfer to them by believing.
