      Lightbulb Atmosphere Advantages

Yet another curiosity has hit me. Do any of you find it easier (Or perhaps harder) to attempt lucid dreaming if you aren't at your own home? Obviously it can be quite hard if your spending the night at your friend's house, but let's say if you were Camping, or on Vacation somewhere nice (Sleeping spot being a hotel). What do you guys think? I can confirm that Dream Recall is a bit better if i'm camping (In a Camper, not a Tent. ), But i'm a little curious because im going to be on vacation in maybe a month or so, going somewhere really nice. To add on to that, a night might be spent on an airplane.

I know what you're already thinking, so let me just put this aside. Yes, dream recall will be much better while we are in these situations because we aren't as distracted by TV or Electronics, and it gives us more time to think about dreaming topics. Especially those who are really into it.
I'm curious to hear your opinions, guys. Do you think that attaining Lucidity will be easier/harder?

Good luck to all of you, and you might be dreaming. So you may want to check that out.

As long as the situation presented is relaxed and you are getting some decent sleep, the yeah it's definitely better.

I can confirm that dreams are multiple times more vivid when camping (in a tent and under the starts). It's something about sleeping outside that really gets dreams going.

Interesting. Like i said, i usually sleep in a camper, and i usually end up waking earlier than usual, so that could explain alot.

If you sleep in an unfamiliar location then you will instinctively be more "on your guard", and this should have a powerul effect on your LD success rate.

Speaking of atmospheres, I find it quite easy to become lucid if I spend a few minutes outside in the early morning, while it's still quiet and peaceful.
I love doing that during the summers, since Swedish summer mornings are incredibly bright and the temperature is quite pleasant at dawn.
I have this huge field beside a big river close to my home, with pebbles and tiny wooden bridges and greenery everywhere, and taking a walk there during a WBTB attempt is a truly magical experience and feels very dreamlike, almost like something you would expect in a fantasy world.
It is a lot like this, except for the road, and the trees are more scattered around - but the "feeling" is the same.

Coldness might be an important factor when camping, to promote some REM

Check your memory, did any suprising event happpen ? does the present make sense ? visualize what you will do when lucid, and how. Reality check as reminder of your intention to lucid dream tonight. Sleep as good as you can; when going to sleep, relax and invite whatever comes with curiosity. Grab your dream journal immediately as you awake and write everything you can recall (if only when you wake up for good). Keep calm, positive and persistent, and don't forget to have fun along the way
