Tonight I might be drunk enough to justify posting in this thread. The trouble is, I spent most of the late 1990s learning how to type correctly despite being completely blotto. (Back then we called it "MUSHing.")

I don't have a lot to offer except drunk OCD reflections on typography, which I decided to delete, since most people don't have much interest in whether one uses single quotes or double quotes, or if the period should come before or after them or outside the parentheses altogether. It is probably a personal failing that I worry about this. Especially after drinking.

However, since the thread might require some suitable contribution, I thought I would offer the recipe for what I'm drinking at the moment:

1 oz. Bombay Sapphire gin
2 sprigs fresh rosemary, crushed to bring out their oils
3 oz. Fever Tree "Naturally Light" Indian tonic water
several dashes Bar Keep lavender bitters

Anyone want to trade gin and tonic recipes? I've been experimenting with a number of gins, bitters, and herbal garnishes, but the discovery of Fever Tree tonic water has put me off Schweppes entirely.

Almost equal parts of Brisk LEmonade, Orange Juice, and Peach Schnapps tastes EXACTLY like Butterfields Peach Buds. OMG.

Those were the candy of my childhood. I want to make this drink like every night now.
The best thing is that I did it completely by accident and randomly.

Verre's French 75
Ignore all that crap about simple syrup. Here's the easy way. In a champagne flute:

Juice of half a lemon and a slice from the zest
one ounce limoncello
half-ounce gin (double it if you want to get crazy)
top with sparkling wine

Has anyone made hot/spiced wine? I suppose to a proper wine aficionado it would be a sin to heat wine and add stuff to it... but I'm by no means not a wine aficionado, andI love hot drinks, and it is autumn after all. I've looked a few recipes, so I might give it a go one of these days.
