Not sure which technique to pursue.

Hello everyone. I have recently taken MILD classes here on DV. I love MILD and wish to do it more; but I also love WILDing. Since MILD and WILD are supposed to take up my WBTB time, I am limited to, sadly, one option right now. I have been attempting to WILD for quite some time now, but have failed each one. I would really like to master WILDing, because I think that its pretty neat.
But since I've learned so much about MILDing, I want to do that too. I have no idea what I should pursue, WILD or MILD, or both of them together.

There are many ways to do a MILD. Naiya's MILD, as far as I know, doesn't use WBTB. The two aren't mutually exclusive. You can go after both if you like. Or, if you have time midday, you can always take a nap and use whatever technique you didn't use before.

Just as mario said, you can MILD just fine while WILDing, it is just a matter of creativity, so don't give up on your loves!

      hehe, thanks.
Oh right, before I forget, when attempting to WILD, sometimes people fall asleep and end up having a FA in which they continue trying to WILD, so it is wise to do RCs whenever you try to WILD.

WILD is the way to go. I actually do not like it a lot, but WILD leads to a better and more intense lucid dream. You enter the dream fully lucid and above average of stability.

I personally love MILD. Its a robust technique but requires a daily work. You have been in my class and you know it. You can attempt WILD as well, the more techniques you know, the better.

Actually, the amount of lucidity/stability per induction technique is different for everyone. There are people who swear MILDs and DILDs are the meccas of vividness and dream control, and people who say WILDs are the way to go. It's a matter of personal experience.

Woah, is it really- about the WILD? They why do we do MILD if WILD is better?

Oh while we are on the subject of daily work, I want to share to my teacher: Yesterday I had the perfect lucid day as you described int he last class except for waking at night. But I did everything almost nonstop and it was great! No lucid though. Ill get one once the sleep deprivation wears off.

No, WILDs aren't better than DILDs, it all depends on who is doing them, changes for everyone, etc etc.

What he said is essentially bollocks. There is no superior induction method. Different methods work better for different folks, and I know a few people who say that their WILDs are low-quality and terrible, while their MILDs and DILDs are some of the best dreams they ever had. Percy may get better WILDs, but that is by no means a universal rule of lucid dreaming.
