      I just Can't Lucid Dream :(

I have been trying for weeks now but i just cant seem to accomplish it Some of my friends accomplished it in about a week. I watch the subliminal video on world of lucid dreaming.com, i do reality checks, i think about lucid dreaming as I'm going to sleep. But i just can't fully lucid dream. Are there any things that can help me lucid dream that I DON'T HAVE TO BUY? cause i cant (long story ) so, you have any ideas to help me, or things i can use that i don't have to buy plz help, thanks in advance

I am currently trying the CAT (Cycle Adjustment Technique). It seems promising, you might want to look into in.
There is a description of it in the Wiki Dictionary on DreamViews, but I find that the description on world of lucid dreaming is easier to comprehend.

      Good luck.

Saying shit like that is the best way to PREVENT a lucid dream.

Consistency and persistance are the key here. 1 week is a very short amount of time to achieve lucidity. Some go months before finaly achieving it. Start trying out different induction routines, you can try your hand at WILDing, or maybe give some form of MILD a try.

Also, the mosst helpful thinga are free, so don't worry about that.

I agree 100% with Supernova. Negativity is the worst thing you can do with trying to get lucid. The biggest thing in this is having a good mindset and telling yourself that you WILL eventually learn how to LD.
If you believe it then it will happen.

I've been going for about three months now and I'm only at 5 lucids. I think the average for learning to LD is anytime between 3 weeks and 3 months (but don't quote me on that). Everyone is different though. some take less time, some take more.

Now thats the spirit! Now, start doing awareness excersices along with your reality checks, try to not stress about LDing before going to sleep, if you wake up during the night, try to focus on awareness to make DILD easier and just relax overall.

What do you about Awareness Exercises? Isn't reality checking an awareness exercise in itself?

Even when you become proficient at lucid dreaming, you will go a few weeks without one..
Your waking life/stress/schedule will have a profound effect on your results..

Understanding the cycles of brainwave activity during the relaxation/sleep process can assist one in understanding the science of LD's. There is plenty of misinformation on the Internet to confuse everyone. Look at the medical facts behind dreaming... and trust your instincts.

In my lucid this morning I kept turning over a magazine cover to see if there would be any pattern to the gibberish. Couldn't see a pattern, just gibberish

Oh, to be on topic and encouraging. I had a lucid the first night I attempted and I had to wait another two years to have my second lucid dream. But that was eighteen years ago. Read and learn as much as you can.

Oh it is, though sometimes people do them mindlessly, and then it will be useless. So it is highly recommended to question reality when you try them, like "Am I really dreaming?" or "Is this actually the real world?" or "Does this make sense?"
