Yeah, exactly. The more you notice in waking life, the more you notice in the dream world. In particularly, the feeling of being awake compared to being in a dream. With ADA, I realize I am dreaming simply because I am in a dream.

Yeah, it will help you see the flaws around you. More importantly though, it helps you naturally distinguish the difference between being awake and being in a dream. You simply will know/realize you are dreaming because you are (dreaming).

Everyone forgets the red-headed step child, EILD . You guys are right though, ADA is indeed a DILD/MILD technique (elements of both). Every lucid dream does fall under either DILD, WILD, or EILD.

EILD is a DILD if it makes you lucid in the dream and EILD is a WILD if it makes you lucid from a waking state.

I was always a dreamer, in childhood especially. People thought I was a little strange.-Charley pride

HAHAHAHA the very first night (last night) after realising how to do this properly, I had a lucid dream! Thankyou!
First time in a while now.

You are right, I didn't need to RC (I just forgot) because I just knew I was dreaming because of the environment and strange things. I have horrible recall atm simply because my sleep schedule is fucked, but I remember just realising something was weird, I said some dumb shit like "this feels so much like a dream lol, I could be dreaming right now" or something to that effect, was about to just keep doing whatever I was doing and then stopped and said "HOLY FUCK! THIS IS A DREAM!!!!! FUUUCKKKK YESSSSSSS!!!!"

      haha

It could be a coincidence coz I have LD's every now and again anyway but because of the way I realised I was dreaming, I'm gonna chalk it up to doing this technique.

I have to disagree with you there. DILD stands for Dream Induced Lucid Dream, right? Well, with a EILD, you aren't inducing lucidity with the dream. You are using a completely external device to create the lucidity. The device itself, from waking life, is the sole provider of your lucidity. EILD is far different from DILD and WILD in my honest opinion.

@tommo - Awesome, man! Congrats on your success. Hopefully, ADA will be able to provide you with many more of those to come. Good luck in your future attempts!

I guess we can agree to disagree than.

What do you mean by "realising how to do this properly"? Can you share what you started doing differently? It might help me; I'm yet to have a lucid dream from this technique. It has made them more vivid, but there's still the possibility that I'm not doing it right.

Could've just read my posts.... but anyway.

I mean I used to try to realise if I was dreaming. When I first tried this technique.

Now I realise that you don't have to do that. Just be aware of your environment, and you will start being aware of your environment in your dreams as well.
So if you know what a dream feels like and looks like generally (which almost everyone does if they think about it) you will realise that you are dreaming simply because you are more aware.

So during the day, you don't think about whether or not your dreaming, although you automatically probably will a bit just because your practicing this to have LD's. But you don't need to purposefully wonder whether you are dreaming or not. Just be aware of your environment.

I read your posts, but I wasn't sure if there was anything else you could share. I'm glad you did, that was helpful, thank you
