      Deild help please

      Ok, guys, I really need help withe the DEILD technique. The only problem that I have with it is when I go to sleep, then I wake up, I like automatically move and open my eyes. Autosuggestion almost never works for me. So, basically I need some guy of advice on hoq to stay still and not open my eyes. Some people say you have to feel yourself coming out of the dream, but I don't know I'm coming out of it because I'm not even lucid.

      I think with practice it will just come. I struggle with this as well. Alot of people reccomend looking at the back of your eyelids for a few minutes before going to sleep, so you know not to move. I've only managed to stay still once.

      Try using a blindfold, that should help keep your eyes closed. You can DEILD with a minor movement, but its much harder. I'll have a DG move this for you to where it'll get more responses.

      Auto Suggestion worked wonders for me after 2 nights of repeating mantras such as ''I ''WILL'' not open my eyes upon awakening'' and ''I ''WILL'' not move upon awakening''. Really mean it when you say it or think it, definitely the ''WILL'' part.

      Some other techniques I use,
      I wake up during the night (you could set an alarm if you're a heavy sleep) and get up and repeat your mantas with confidence.
      Stare at yourself in a mirror and repeat your mantas to yourself and really mean it. I get chills through out my body sometimes when I repeat the mantas in the mirror, really get into it.

      I had the same problem. I'd wake up with my eyes open, then move to get comfortable. What helped me was doing research about it before i'd go to bed. Then when i'd go to bed, id keep telling myself, "Remember if I wake up keep my eyes closed and don't move n matter how uncomfortable I am." And practice of course. It may not be much but this is what helped me.
