      The perfect amount of conciousness?

So when I deild, I try to focus on getting back into the dream so much, I normally fall asleep, without entering the dream. But if I try to stay aware, so I realise I'm dreaming, I won't fall back to sleep.
How do I find the right amount, or what should I do?
      Thanks

It can't be perfectly explained how to do in these situations.
What I did was that I used Lucidology's timer method which gives me a lot of oppurtunites to pracctise this.
But a brief explanation of what to do is to wake up and just be aware of that you have woke up, lay still and have closed eyes.
If you don't transition, and you have done this then you are either not in REM or you didn't do these instructions correctly.

When you pracctise this you will learn to feel the difference between the non-physical and the physical body or a conscious and a subconscious focus.
When you have learned this you will easily transition after awakenings.

      Keep on pracctising!

That was a great reply Choi,
Yuppie, in short, it's something you need to try out for yourself. But the best way I can put it is passive conciousness, just watch as your thoughts go by rather than thinking about them. But yeah I know how annoying it is.
      Good luck

Do you find you are having more vivid dreams or lucid dreams sleeping in a strange place? Whenever I sleep somewhere other than my bed, I get some crazy dreams.

Robot Butler is right, sometimes being in a strange place when sleeping can trigger lucidity. I usually FA when I sleep somewhere new or different. Take advantage of the locale.

Okay, and when I'm visualising my last dream, should I replay what happend previously, or imagine how it would continue?

I do a little of both. I replay it up until an obvious dream sign then visualize becoming lucid and acting out whatever task I want to accomplish.

      Success lucid!
To be honest, I was kind of upset that I wasn't getting clear answers on what to do. But when I personally did it, I'm not even sure what I did.. your advice was all really correct xD
Anyway, the post is in my dream journal if anyone wants to read it.
Thank you SO much for all your help, it wouldn't have happend without all of you
