      Hi!

      1. Apparently so! Although I now realise it, because I write in my DJ
      2. Auto suggestion is good, keeping a DJ is what helped me. Sometimes people work out their sleep cycles and set alarms.
      3. Hmmm. I'll let someone else answer this one.

      Ooh, their breath is warm
      And they smell like sleep
And they say they take me home
      Like poppies heavy with seed
They take me deeper and deeper

      1. I think we wake up after REM stage, which is at the end of each sleep cycle. So if there is more dreams in one REM stage, we probably wake up after the last one. But this doesn't mean, we can't wake up during or after individual dream.

      2. Mantra like "I wake up after every dream and remember it", or just "I wake up after every dream" should work. Also just thinking about it and setting intention can help.

      3. You can set your intent any time. But some mantras work best, if said as falling asleep, as a last thought just before you doze off. Happy dreams.

1.) It's commonly believed that we have "micro-awakenings" after periods of REM and dreams, though it's mainly after the sleep cycle, not the dream itself.

2.) Alarms timed to a certain period of your sleep cycle can help. As stated above, working on a dream journal can make the difference, even if you don't really wake until morning. The efforts to enhance recall can really make the difference. We have a tutorial in our WIKI to aid with recall, as well as a devoted subsection of the forum.

3.) Autosuggestion can be any time but the more you do it before bed or before a sleep cycle in the middle of the night the more liklely you are to have it affect your dreams. I'm basing this mainly off other people's reports though I did create an autosuggestion thread for this purpose and I did find it useful. Of course, I'm on the forum so much it's hard for me not to dream about the forum or lucid dreaming in some way nearly every night.

      1. After each REM period (dreams) we enter an extremely light sleep and sometimes wake up but we then just fall asleep afterwards which is why we don't remember it. It doesn't seem to happen all the time though, only on occasion.

      2. As others have said auto suggestion is a good idea, as are alarms though they should be quiet and turn off on their own. You can also train yourself to notice when a dream is ending which can help you wake up/prepare for a DEILD (I did this though I haven't in a while)

      3. It's best used while going to sleep or while meditating prior to sleeping. You can do it during the day but the effects won't be as noticeable as if you do it right as you fall asleep. You could also try a WBTB/MILD combination only instead of using a lucid mantra use whatever you want.

1 We might transition from Delta to Theta brainwave states after REM ( and then back again) but rarely do we awaken fully.
      2. It's about timing (set an alarm for 5 hours after you think you will be asleep). It's either that or wait until you do wake up from a dream in the middle of the night.
      3. I do it while I'm falling asleep or when I wake up from a dream in the middle of the night.
