I just might be a natural lucid dreamer (been doing it by accident for years, and when I've finally been able to control, have I been able to control it!) and you seem to be on the right path- in one dream, I just sat there, counting the time, and it went on for 21 minutes and 33 seconds before everything just went blank and I woke up.
Although, to supernova, you also might be right. In another, I watched time chunks from 16:64 AM to 193:7742 PM to, in a retelling of a sepeate dream, 0 AM to 4 XM (the X probably meaning time didn't exist)
So time distortion can exist in lucid dreams very well.
