      ADA Motivation

      Hey guys!

The purpose of this thread is motivate everybody interested to perform more ADA, SAT and RCs in general, and increase our chances of LD. You can post your checks here.

Having examined a number non-lds, I have noticed that I quite often find myself in a store of any kind, totally fascinated by strange items. While some of these items are very interesting, the properties they exhibit are different from real life and their presence can be so out of place. For example: opossums in a tea store, green carrots, doing laundry in the supermarket. Being able to notice such inconsistencies gives us a better chance to awaken the mind and have a lucid dream. Hopefully once it becomes a habit, this little game/practice can be easily applied to include a wider range of places/events/etc. and will eventually carry into dreams.

I am currently planning on posting for the next 15 days or so my progress here, to keep myself motivated. I will write down at least one impression from my visit to a store/supermarket/additional place (I don’t shop that much, but go to the supermarket daily or once every other day). If I have a dream involving shopping, I will take note too. The reason I have picked stores as a start-up place is two-fold: one - I spill tons of my attention on shopping items irl, to the point of exhaustion; I am really absorbed by these items. Two - this is also reflected in my dreams where I am examining items with great interest but little questioning.

Feel free to join this thread and experiment for any amount of time, although consistency generally yields best results. While I would be initially doing this during my visits to the supermarket/any store, if you want to keep track of other places you are doing ADA/SAT/RC, you can post these here, and include the RC check type you are doing.

Where: supermarket, store, mall, café (may be subject to expansion)

      What: perform ADA/SAT/RC

Why: train mind to more critically examine items, general atmosphere and self during day and dreams

How (Questions to ask yourself*, or use and share your own):
      - What are you examining? Was it the same as minute ago?
      - Does it belong here?
      - Feel the item, anything usual? (remember you are in real store, so no reckless behaviour!)
      - Price check – foreign currency, unusual discount, too large numbers unless you are living in an inflation-prone country
      - Label check – does it change, what does it say?
      - Payment – any strange banknotes, are you paying with a single banknote worth 65, in bonds or stamps?
      - Self-check - mood, clothes, shoes, fingers, etc (are you wearing pyjamas or slippers, or maybe naked)
      - Action - are you ordering beer in a flower shop?
      - Scenario - are aliens trying invading the place, while you try to concentrate on shopping?
      - Company – did you come here on your own, or with John Cusack?
      - Location – is the place located in the middle of a lava mountain, where were you before that?
      - Time – check the time, are you there in the middle of the night, are you running late?
      - …other sensations, little things you notice, RCs and critical thoughts about reality

*Ask yourself those questions, no need to include too private details here!
