Smile Help me get motivated to LD again

      Hello my fellow DViewers

I haven't had any Lucid Dreams or tried in over a year. Became a bit of a pot head and dream recall went out the window, lost motivation to try to lucid dream. Stopped smoking the herb for a bit, started to remember dreams a bit better but now I just have no motivation to try again.

What are some motivational tips you guys and gals use to start trying again?

As I told others with similar questions.. Unfortunately, motivation/determination is not really something that another person can help you with. One of the factors involved in lucid dreaming success is desire, your will to have a lucid dream, you must want it. If you don't truly want it, your brain will understand that lucidity in dreams is not important, so it won't comply..
But if you choose to ignore that, you could try to think of all the incredible things you could do while lucid dreaming, or read other people's success stories, maybe that will give you a push and motivate you a little.

      Welcome back benzilla

I completely agree with mimihigurashi. The Want have to come from within. But to help you kickstart it, how about reading your own dream journal. I'm sure you have some cool dreams you have forgotten about. Or read some entries here on DV. Also, post in threads. happy dreams

Ok, bro! I understand what you mean. If some childish goals like flying and so on is silly to you and can't motivates you, then you need to dedicate your attempts to see some one you really love to meet in LD. Some one who can take your breath away!!!and how wonderful it would be if after tring very hard , you hug that person in your lucid dream!!!!!

In my case, I only try LD and practise it hardly to be able to see the person I die for who is only able to meet in LD.
Oh but my case is not a romantic case and I want to meet Dalai Lama for spiritual meanings!!!! Lol

Listen to the DV podcasts if you haven't already. Pick up a new book on LDing, or watch some youtube videos. You can also check out the DV DJs and see what people are up to--maybe they are doing things you want to try?

Stop smoking and reconnect with your dreams. A night without good dream recall for me is a wasted night. You have to find the desire within yourself.
