well i have never had a lucid dream but as for dream recall...
about 3 months ago i quit trying to LD just because i had a busy life, but yesterday i was reminded of it and im gonna try again.
when i quit i tryed for about a month and remembered my dreams nearly every night. some tips on increasing dream recall is..
1.THE most important thing is to keep a dream journal and write in it EVERY MORNING after you wake up even if you do not remember your dream at all. this will "train" your sub concious to remember your dreams.
2.talk about dreaming with your friends and family or even a stranger, when i started talking to my friends every day about the dream i had last night, i started remembering my dreams even more.
3. reality checks are very important, some for example are to look at a clock, re-read text 2 or 3 times when ever you see it whether its a book or a billboard, ask your friends if you are dreaming, try and fly.. there are tons of ways to do a RC be creative!
4.try and keep a steady sleep scehdule, this was one of the hardest things for me to do but it can really help.
5.read up on lucid dreaming or even these forums every night before going to bed, it will keep your mind on dreaming.
6.while your laying in bed, keep saying in your mind "when i awake i will remember my dreams" or if you want to try and have a lucid dream say to yourself "i will realise i am dreaming" or ask yourself "am i dreaming?"
theres many ways to help dream recall, these are just a few that i have had from my own personal exp.
well i hope this helps you, happy dreaming!
