~If at first you don't succeed destroy all evidence that you tried!~
My advice is contrary. |

just work on a reality check and dont even think about LD's |
|
i thought the more you thought about it the better... i have no trouble falling asleep |
|
well i cant help you with learning to lucid dream, (i can't) but the recall is different. ive only been keeping a dream journal for about 5 days, and in that time ive gone from never remembering anything, to at least 1 fuzzy, but somewhat put together dream. what helped me is IMMEDIATELY, in the first few seconds after you wake up, try to remember what you were dreaming. i noticed if a wait at all, its gone. hope that helps! |

Something that helped me achieve my first LD was chocolate. I drink lots of warm milk before bed, that helps you to sleep faster and wakes you up at 3 AM because you gotta piss. After I go to the bathroom, I ate 5 pieces (thats one serving, but it's going to make me fat lol) of Dark Chocolate. Then I fell back asleep and had a very vivid Lucid Dream. |

Fortified cereals, beans, meat, poultry, fish, and some fruits and vegetables. Most multi-vitamins will contain 2mg which is 100% daily value. You can also buy Vitamin B6 supplements that have 100mg (5,000% daily value) -- but don't take those more than twice a week, they can cause neurological damage. |

I take multi-vitamins every morning, which has a small amount of B6 in it, I doubt that affects my dreams at night though. The big thing I use is dark chocolate, this has given me a vivid lucid dream |

WBTB alone is staying up for around 30-90 minutes reading or doing something lucid dreaming related and going back to bed. You don't need to do all that to do a WILD. And, it's possible but very difficult to WILD at night. |
|
i think ive found my problem: I need to get up about 6 hours after I sleep, |
|
I always find that taking a nap works well. Also, if you convince yourself that you will have a lucid dream and make yourself really excited and apply it to a suitable technique, the technique works better. Though, it isn't compatable with all techniques. |

I have only had 3 Ludid Dreams in about 2-3 months of trying and two were only a few seconds long before I fell into "Stupid Mode" and stopped being lucid. The 2 short ones I accomplished easily with SILD, (http://www.dreamviews.com/forum/inde...howtopic=37331), but my only good on happened last night and was a DILD. I went to bed thinking about having a lucid dream like I normally do, woke up after about 5 hours of sleep cuz I have a sore throught, got a bottle of water, and went back to bed with my last thought being, Maybe this would be a good time to try and WILD. In my dream I was about to hit someone with a bat (long story) and he yelled out, NO STOP! THIS IS A DREAM! YOUR DREAMING! I did a reality check (suprising as this is the forst time someone told me I was dreaming and I believed them) and it worked. I got a big rush and a weird tingly sensation. And I has one the the most awesome experences of my life. Anyways, my point is, I was about to give up, I was kind of angry that all the people on the site could have so many lucid dreams. Then BAM!!! it hit me in the face and I had one. Just don't give up, think about them a lot, and remember, Are you dreaming??? |

I had a strange dream last night...
I can assure you that practice makes perfect and where there is a will there is a way....For some, playing the guitar is natural, for others they have to learn it (just like LDing)...this means that once you learn it (achieve it - the first one) - the next ones will come more natural - as long as you continue and learn and become more lucid in waking life.... |

"What if I were to tell u that you can take control...of all of this? Look at all these people. Seems as though they're just all chatting away? Nothing to do with u. And yet., maybe they're only here because u wanted them to. U are their god. U can make them obey u or even destroy u."
